Au cœur de la pittoresque vallée de la Saale-Orla se trouve un bâtiment seigneurial qui aurait été autrefois doté de 365 fenêtres, 52 portes intérieures, 12 cheminées et 4 portails, une circonstance qui lui a valu le nom romantique de "château de la reine". Château des quatre saisons lui a valu son nom. Que le château d'Oppurg puisse encore aujourd'hui marquer des points avec ces chiffres reste un mystère, le bâtiment construit au début du 18ème siècle pour Amalia Sophie von Einsiedel n'a rien perdu de son charme baroque - bien au contraire : après de nombreux changements de propriétaire et d'utilisation au cours du siècle dernier et d' importants travaux de rénovation à partir des années 90, il brille aujourd'hui d'un nouvel éclat et est à la disposition d'un large public. Depuis août 2022, le café du château, ouvert tous les jours (sauf le lundi) de 13h30 à 16h30, propose de délicieux gâteaux, du café ou du thé frais, ainsi que de délicieuses boissons non alcoolisées. Au printemps 2023, le restaurant en terrasse ouvrira ses portes aux visiteurs. L'hôtellerie, avec ses chambres confortables et ses suites raffinées, suivra dans un avenir proche. En outre, la maison séduit en tant que lieu événementiel exceptionnel pour presque toutes les occasions, car elle offre suffisamment de place pour des manifestations même plus importantes grâce à son parc étendu. Qu'il s'agisse de mariages festifs, de concerts vivifiants, de réunions et de séminaires dynamiques ou simplement d'un voyage spontané le week-end, chaque demande trouve ici son espace optimal, en bref : "C'est un lieu magnifique et romantique de l'ancien monde qui invite ses visiteurs à profiter de moments précieux".
Awakened from its slumber... In the middle of the picturesque Saale-Orla valley lies a manor house that is said to have once been equipped with 365 windows, 52 interior doors, 12 chimneys and 4 portals, a circumstance that gave it the romantic name of Four Seasons Castle name. Whether Oppurg Castle can still score with these numbers today remains a mystery, but the building, which was erected at the beginning of the 18th century for Amalia Sophie von Einsiedel, has lost nothing of its baroque charm - quite the contrary: after numerous changes of ownership and use in the last century and extensive renovation work starting in the 1990s, it now shines in new splendor and is open to a wide public. Since August 2022, fine cakes, fresh coffee or tea, as well as tasty soft drinks may be enjoyed in the castle café, which is open daily (except Mondays) from 1:30 - 4:30 pm. In the spring of 2023, the terrace restaurant will then open to the public. The hotel with its comfortable rooms and fine suites will follow in the foreseeable future. In addition, the house impresses as an outstanding event location for almost any occasion, offering enough space for even larger events thanks to its expansive park. Whether festive weddings, invigorating concerts, dynamic meetings and seminars or simply for the spontaneous trip on the weekend - here every request is offered the optimal space, in short: "It is a magnificent and romantic old-world place that invites its visitors to enjoy precious moments."
Aus dem Dornröschenschlaf erweckt … Inmitten des malerischen Saale-Orla-Tals liegt ein Herrschaftsgebäude, das einstmals mit 365 Fenstern, 52 Innentüren, 12 Schornsteinen und 4 Portalen ausgestattet gewesen sein soll. Ein Umstand, dem es den romantischen Namen Vierjahreszeiten-Schloss eintrug. Ob Schloss Oppurg auch heute noch mit diesen Zahlen punkten kann, bleibt ein Geheimnis. Von seinem barocken Charme hat das Anfang des 18. Jahrhunderts für Amalia Sophie von Einsiedel errichtete Gebäude nichts eingebüßt – ganz im Gegenteil: Nach zahlreichen Besitz- und Nutzungswechseln im letzten Jahrhundert und umfangreichen Sanierungsarbeiten ab den 90er-Jahren, erstrahlt es heute in neuem Glanz und steht einem breiten Publikum zur Verfügung. Im täglich (außer montags) von 13.30-16.30 Uhr geöffneten Schlosscafé können feine Kuchen, frischer Kaffee oder Tee sowie leckere Softdrinks genossen werden. Weiterhin gibt es ein Terrassenrestaurant und eine Hotellerie mit komfortablen Zimmern und feinen Suiten. Darüber hinaus besticht das Haus als herausragende Eventlocation für nahezu jeden Anlass. Bietet es doch durch seinen ausladenden Park auch genug Platz für größere Veranstaltungen. Ob festliche Hochzeiten, belebende Konzerte, dynamische Tagungen und Seminare oder einfach für den spontanen Trip am Wochenende – hier wird jedem Anliegen der optimale Raum geboten, kurzum: „Es ist ein herrlicher und romantischer Ort aus der alten Welt, der seine Besucher dazu einlädt, wertvolle Momente zu genießen.“
