Le cimetière juif de Burghaun, situé à la sortie du village en direction de Rudolphshan, au-dessus du Dimbach, a été créé à la fin du XVIIe siècle et servait de cimetière collectif pour les communautés juives de la région de Hünfeld (à l'exception de Mansbach). Jusqu'au milieu du XIXe siècle, les défunts de Rothenkirchen y étaient également inhumés. Le cimetière s'étend sur environ 93,86 ares et se divise en trois parties : la partie la plus ancienne (1690-1833), la partie centrale (1834-1872) et la partie la plus récente (1873-1942). 705 pierres tombales (mazevot) sont encore conservées. Depuis les années 1960, une pierre commémorative rend hommage aux victimes du nazisme.
The Jewish cemetery in Burghaun, located on the outskirts of the town in the direction of Rudolphshan above the Dimbach stream, was established at the end of the 17th century and served as a collective cemetery for the Jewish communities of the Hünfeld region (except Mansbach). Until the middle of the 19th century, deceased persons from Rothenkirchen were also buried here. The cemetery covers around 93.86 acres and is divided into three sections: the oldest section (1690–1833), the middle section (1834–1872), and the newest section (1873–1942). 705 gravestones (mazevot) are still preserved. Since the 1960s, a memorial stone has commemorated the victims of National Socialism.
Der jüdische Friedhof in Burghaun, am Ortsausgang Richtung Rudolphshan über dem Dimbach gelegen, entstand Ende des 17. Jahrhunderts und war Sammelfriedhof für die jüdischen Gemeinden des Hünfelder Landes (außer Mansbach). Bis Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts wurden hier auch Verstorbene aus Rothenkirchen beigesetzt. Der Friedhof umfasst rund 93,86 Ar und gliedert sich in drei Teile: ältester Teil (1690–1833), mittlerer Teil (1834–1872) und jüngster Teil (1873–1942). Noch 705 Grabsteine (Mazewot) sind erhalten. Seit den 1960er-Jahren erinnert ein Gedenkstein an die Opfer des Nationalsozialismus.
