Der Klingesee entstand durch den Kiesabbau seit 1973. Zukünftig soll die Größe von 30 auf 50 ha erweitert und der See zu Erholungs- und Freizeitzwecken genutzt werden. Das durchschnittlich 6 m tiefe Gewässer bietet Flache Uferabschnitte, die sich sowohl als Bade- als auch als Start- und Landebereiche für Wassersportarten eignen. Neben Surf-, Bootsfahrt- und Angelmöglichkeiten soll hier ggf. zusätzlich ein Campingplatz entstehen.
