Am Augustinerplatz, direkt vor dem Stadtmuseum im Augustinerkloster, steht seit dem 9. August 1925 das Denkmal zur Erinnerung an die gefallenen Soldaten des Thüringischen Ulanen-Regiments Nr. 6. Das Thüringische Ulanen Regiment Nr. 6 war von 1851 bis 1894 in Langensalza mit dem 3. und 4. Eskadron stationiert. Das im Volksmund kurz als „Nackter Reiter“ bezeichnete Denkmal schuf Heinrich Schwindsackl aus einheimischem Travertin.
On Augustinerplatz, directly in front of the City Museum in the Augustinian Monastery, the memorial to the fallen soldiers of the Thuringian Uhlan Regiment No. 6 has stood since August 9, 1925. The Thuringian Uhlan Regiment No. 6 was stationed in Langensalza from 1851 to 1894 with the 3rd and 4th Eskadron. The monument, popularly known as the "Naked Rider", was created by Heinrich Schwindsackl from local travertine.
