About: Schierschwende

Das einst evangelische Gutsdorf Schierschwende, erstmals erwähnt in der Wüstungsurkunde 1390 und 1407 und später geschichtlich als Dorf um 1545, liegt in einem östlichen Seitental des Haselbaches in ca. 399 m Höhe über NN. Die heute katholische Ortschaft umfasst eine Gemarkungsgröße von 447 ha. Auf dem Berghügel des Ortes wurde 1899 die katholische Kirche erbaut. Zur Ortschaft Schierschwende gehört das "Gut Schönberg", erbaut um 1400 von Rudolf und Heinrich von Keudel. Im ehemaligen Herrenhaus befindet sich eine Präzeptorei (Einrichtung der Jugendhilfe). Der Wirtschaftshof wurde durch einen Neueinrichter in der Landwirtschaft erworben. Heute wird dort eine Ferkelaufzucht betrieben. Von der ehemaligen Gaststätte "Gute Hoffnung" führt ein Wanderweg von 3,3 km über die Burg Normannstein nach Treffurt. Auf einer Anhöhe von 448 m über NN stehen zwei sehr alte Linden am Wanderweg "Lange Fiedel", eingebunden in Sitzgelegenheiten und eine Doppelschutzhütte (Grillhütte). Sie laden zum Verweilen ein und bieten eine sehr schöne Aussicht in das Werratal, zum Inselsberg im Thüringer Wald und die Wartburg bei Eisenach. Im Jahr 2013 wurden an der "Guten Hoffnung" und an der Lindenhecke zwei Skulpturen aufgestellt (Maistrommeln und Tisch), die zum Wanderweg "X8 Natura" gehören. Dieser Streckenabschnitt ist der letzte, der unter dem Motto "Wiedervereinigung" steht. Aufgrund der deutschen Teilung endete der Barbarossaweg bis 1989 bereits in Wanfried; in Treffurt begann die ostdeutsche Wanderroute zum Kyffhäuser. Auf dieser auch zu Zeiten der DDR aktiven X8-Wanderstrecke führt der Weg oberhalb von Burg Normannstein auf die Höhe. Deren freie Landschaft bietet unglaubliche Fernblicke nach West und Ost.

Sur une hauteur de 448 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer, deux très vieux tilleuls se trouvent sur le sentier de randonnée "Lange Fiedel", intégrés dans des sièges et un double abri (refuge pour barbecue). Ils invitent à la détente et offrent une très belle vue sur la vallée de la Werra, l'Inselsberg dans la forêt de Thuringe et la Wartburg près d'Eisenach. En 2013, deux sculptures ont été installées au "Guten Hoffnung" et à la "Lindenhecke" (tambours de maïs et table), qui font partie du sentier de randonnée "X8 Natura". Ce tronçon est le dernier à être placé sous la devise "Réunification". En raison de la division de l'Allemagne, le Barbarossaweg se terminait déjà à Wanfried jusqu'en 1989 ; l'itinéraire de randonnée est-allemand menant au Kyffhäuser commençait à Treffurt. Sur cet itinéraire de randonnée X8, également actif à l'époque de la RDA, le chemin mène sur les hauteurs, au-dessus du château de Normannstein. Le paysage dégagé offre des vues incroyables vers l'ouest et l'est.

The once Protestant manor village of Schierschwende, first mentioned in deserted documents in 1390 and 1407 and later historically as a village around 1545, is located in an eastern side valley of the Haselbach at an altitude of about 399 m above sea level. The village, which is catholic today, covers an area of 447 hectares. The Catholic church was built on the hill of the village in 1899. The "Schönberg Manor", built around 1400 by Rudolf and Heinrich von Keudel, belongs to the village of Schierschwende. In the former manor house there is a preceptory (institution for youth welfare). The farmyard was acquired by a new settler in agriculture. Today a piglet breeding is operated there. A hiking trail of 3.3 km leads from the former restaurant "Gute Hoffnung" to Treffurt via Normannstein Castle. On a hill of 448 m above sea level there are two very old lime trees along the hiking trail "Lange Fiedel", integrated in seating areas and a double shelter (barbecue hut). They invite you to linger and offer a very beautiful view into the Werratal, to the Inselsberg in the Thuringian Forest and the Wartburg near Eisenach.
