About: Dachrieden

Das 897 erstmals erwähnte Dorf Dachrieden liegt im Unstrut-Hainich-Kreis an der Bahnlinie Gotha-Leinefelde. Der Ort ist geprägt von Landwirtschaft und Obstbau und hat eine lange Tradition als Mühlenstandort. Durch die Nähe des Unstruttaldorfes zum Höhenzug Dün, zum Eichsfeld und zum UNESCO-Nationalpark Hainich gibt es viele Freizeitmöglichkeiten in der Natur. Sowohl der Unstrut-Radweg als auch der Pilgerweg Loccum-Volkenroda führen durch den Ort. Das Kloster Volkenroda mit dem sehenswerten Christus-Pavillon der Expo2000 ist von Dachrieden ca. 13 km entfernt. Die mittelalterliche Reichsstadt Mühlhausen lädt zur Erkundung ihres reichen historischen Erbes ein und ist von Dachrieden gut als Radtour zu planen.
