"For decades, the construction industry has been offering supposedly modern, easy-to-use building materials that are not suitable for our traditional half-timbered buildings," says Sabine Pönicke, who runs an IgBauernhaus contact point at the nature park center. The book "Siedlungsentwicklung im Naturpark" (Settlement Development in the Nature Park), which is available on the book table along with other brochures on building culture, provides inspiration on this topic. Feierabend- Fachveranstaltung im Naturpark. Alle Hausbesitzer und Interessierte sind eingeladen, sich an den Feierabend-Veranstaltungen mit ihren Fragen zu beteiligen! Im Rahmen der Veranstaltungsreihe „Baukultur im Naturpark“ findet am Mittwoch, den 25. März 2026, von 18:00 bis 20:00 Uhr eine weitere Fachveranstaltung zum Thema „Sanierung im Bestand - Innendämmung und alternative Heizsysteme“ im Naturparkzentrum Fürstenhagen statt. Referent ist Architekt Dirk Schweidler, der unter anderem für den Baukulturdienst und das Fachwerkfünfeck in Niedersachsen tätig ist. Im angekündigten Vortrag soll es um die fachgerechte Altbausanierung gehen, insbesondere, wenn eine Dämmung der Gebäude-Außenhaut nicht zulässig oder nicht sinnvoll ist. Hier gibt es fachgerechte Lösungen für eine Innendämmung. Dazu werden passende moderne Heizsysteme, die sparsames Heizen unterstützen, vorgestellt. Es gibt Hinweise zu geeigneten Materialien, vermeidbaren Fehlerquellen und den richtigen Arbeitsabläufen, damit das Altbaugefüge auch dauerhaft schadensfrei bleibt. „Seit Jahrzehnten bietet die Bauindustrie vermeintlich modere, einfach zu verarbeitende Baustoffe an, die unseren traditionellen Fachwerkbauten aber nicht zuträglich sind.“ weiß Sabine Pönicke, die im Naturparkzentrum eine Kontaktstelle der IgBauernhaus führt. Anregungen dazu gibt das Buch „Siedlungsentwicklung im Naturpark“, welches neben weiteren Broschüren zur Baukultur, auf dem Büchertisch bereitliegt. Hintergrund: Die Veranstaltungsreihe Baukultur stellt in loser Folge in Form von Vorträgen, Workshops oder als Exkursion verschiedenste Themen für eine nachhaltige und regionaltypische Siedlungsentwicklung im Naturpark zur Diskussion. Bisher haben 20 Veranstaltungen unter reger Beteiligung der IgBauernhaus und des Netzwerkes aus Architekten und Handwerkern, kommunalen Vertretern und interessierten Bürgern stattgefunden. Die Veranstaltungsreihe "Baukultur im Naturpark" wird aus Mitteln des Freistaates Thüringen, für die Bildung zur nachhaltigen Entwicklung im Naturpark, finanziert.
