L'entreprise J.A. Topf & Söhne a fourni à la SS des fours très performants destinés à l'élimination des cadavres des personnes assassinées dans les camps de concentration nazis. Et ce n’est pas tout : elle a également fourni des solutions techniques pour « optimiser » les meurtres dans le camp d’extermination d’Auschwitz-Birkenau. L’ancien siège de l’entreprise est ainsi un lieu authentique de
complicité de l’industrie dans l’Holocauste.
Ce que tu peux voir ici aujourd’hui : Une
exposition permanente sur l’histoire de l’entreprise ainsi que des expositions temporaires fournissent des informations sur l’Holocauste et la complicité de l’industrie. Elles soulèvent en outre régulièrement des questions sur le monde économique et le monde du travail d’aujourd’hui.

Das Unternehmen J.A. Topf & Söhne lieferte der SS leistungsstarke Öfen für die Beseitigung der Leichen von Menschen, die in den Konzentrationslagern der Nationalsozialisten ermordet wurden. Und nicht nur das: Es lieferte auch technische Lösungen für die “Optimierung“ des Mordens im Vernichtungslager Auschwitz-Birkenau. Damit ist der einstige Firmensitz ein authentischen Ort der
Mittäterschaft der Industrie am Holocaust.
Was du heute hier sehen kannst: Eine
Dauerausstellung über die Firmengeschichte sowie Wechselausstellungen geben Informationen über den Holocaust und die Mittäterschaft der Industrie. Außerdem werfen sie immer wieder Fragen über die Wirtschafts- und Arbeitswelt von heute auf.

The company J.A. Topf & Söhne supplied the SS with high-performance ovens for the disposal of the bodies of people murdered in the Nazi concentration camps.
