The Riedplatz is the largest former market place in Arnstadt. Many buildings on the Ried still bear their historic house signs. In the south, the Riedtor points towards the Thuringian Forest.

Der Riedplatz ist der größte ehemalige Marktplatz in Arnstadt. Viele Gebäude auf dem Ried tragen noch heute ihre historischen Hauszeichen. Im Süden weist das Riedtor in Richtung Thüringer Wald. Öffentliche Toiletten befinden sich in der Markstraße nördlich vom Riedplatz.
