De Bischofsheim en direction de Wüstensachsen - avant la tourbière rouge - se trouve la Rhönhäuschen, un ancien poste-frontière entre les royaumes de Bavière et de Prusse de l'époque. Aujourd'hui, il n'y a bien sûr plus de contrôles aux frontières à craindre et il n'y a pas non plus de droits de douane à payer dans la Zollhäuschen. Se détendre, manger copieusement, boire, profiter et passer la nuit sont désormais à l'ordre du jour. Bien sûr, ce n'est pas gratuit...
From Bischofsheim in the direction of Wüstensachsen - before the Red Moor - lies the Rhönhäuschen, a former border station between the former kingdoms of Bavaria and Prussia. Das historische Rhönhäuschen an der B278 zwischen Bischofsheim und Wüstensachsen diente einst als Zollhaus an Grenze zwischen dem Königreich Bayern und dem Königreich Preußen. Das zum Hotel und Restaurant ausgebaute Gebäude gilt als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen ins Rote Moor. Das Rhönhäuschen wird am 1.Mai 2026 wieder eröffnet.
