Die Talsperre Windischleuba staut die Pleiße zwischen Fockendorf und Windischleuba in Thüringen im Landkreis Altenburger Land und ist ca. 40 km von Leipzig entfernt. Sie wird ausnahmsweise von der sächsischen Landestalsperrenverwaltung betrieben und nicht von der Thüringer Fernwasserversorgung.

The Windischleuba reservoir dams the Pleiße between Fockendorf and Windischleuba in Thuringia in the Altenburger Land district and is approx. 40 km from Leipzig. It is exceptionally operated by the Saxon state dam administration and not by the Thuringian long-distance water supply.
