The former provost's building in Thulba is an important testimony to Baroque architecture and monastic history. The elongated, three-storey hipped roof building was erected in 1701 under the direction of master builder Anton Payer and structurally altered in 1737. The building is characterized by its baroque façade structure and harmonious proportions. The ensemble also includes a two-storey gabled roof building with striking stepped gables from the 16th century, which documents the long history of use of the monastery complex. The complex is surrounded by an enclosing wall made of stone masonry, in which a coat of arms stone with the year 1733 is embedded. The provostry was once the seat of the Fulda administration in Thulba and, together with the neighboring church of St. Lambertus, forms an impressive historical ensemble in the center of the village of Thulba.
