En 1991, un musée d'histoire locale a été créé à Herbsleben, qui exposait initialement des objets donnés ou empruntés par les citoyens. In 1991 a museum of local history was established in Herbsleben, which initially exhibited objects donated or borrowed by the citizens. Over the years it has developed into an important museum of local history. The model of the castle, which was demolished in 1958, can be visited. The finds from the castle ruins give an insight into the more than 1250 years of history. In addition to the documentation on the customs of the village, the over 200 year old clockwork of the old town hall clock and its bell are of particular fascination. Numerous handicraft skills, which are hardly known today, give an insight into the arduous life over 100 years ago. The history of the GDR is also told and documented. The exhibition tries to preserve the memory of older citizens and to illustrate the past to young people.
Ab dem Jahr 1991 entstand in Herbsleben ein Heimatmuseum im Gemeindezentrum, welches anfänglich geschenkte oder geliehene Gegenstände der Bürger ausstellte. Über die Jahre hat es sich zu einem bedeutenden Heimatmuseum entwickelt. Das Modell des 1958 abgerissenen Schlosses kann besichtigt werden. Die Funde aus der Schlossruine geben einen Einblick in die über 1250-jährige Geschichte. Neben der Dokumentation über das Brauchtum des Ortes ist das über 200 Jahre alte Uhrwerk der alten Rathausuhr und ihre Glocke von besonderer Faszination. Zahlreiche handwerkliche Fertigkeiten, die heute kaum noch bekannt sind, geben einen Einblick in das beschwerliche Leben vor über 100 Jahren. Auch die DDR-Geschichte wird erzählt und dokumentiert.
