Die Strecke bietet auf einem ehemaligen Bahndamm ohne große Höhenunterschiede eine optimale Alternative für alle Radfahrer, welche die bergige Mittelgebirgslandschaft des Vogtlandes schonend von Tal zu Tal erleben möchten. Die Tour beginnt am Bahnhof in Falkenstein. Die Stadt Falkenstein, umrahmt von herrlichen Wäldern, zeigt das Vogtland von einer seiner schönsten Seite. Es ist eine Stadt voller Sehenswürdigkeiten – mit Tiergarten, Schlossfelsen und Heimatmuseum. Ein Abstecher zur Talsperre Falkenstein, einem idyllischen Naherholungsziel, lohnt sich unbedingt. Auf der Tour macht das Vogtland seinem Namen alle Ehre und zeigt buntblühende Wiesen und Wälder. Interessante Stationen unterwegs sind die Neue Scheune Bergen mit Volkskunst-Schauanlage. Kurz vor dem Ziel empfiehlt sich ein Abstecher zur Talsperre Pirk. Am Zielort in Oelsnitz ist, neben der St. Jakobikirche und dem Rathaus, vor allem das Schloss Voigtsberg von Interesse. Diese über 760 Jahre alte Burganlage mit integriertem Teppichmuseum liegt an der Peripherie hoch über der Stadt und ist schon von weitem eine wahre Augenweide.  Spezial-Tipp: Start und Ziel dieser Tour liegen direkt an den Bahnhöfen der beiden Städte für einen bequemen Rückweg mit der Vogtlandbahn.

Le parcours commence à la gare de Falkenstein. La ville de Falkenstein, entourée de magnifiques forêts, montre le Vogtland sous l'un de ses plus beaux aspects. C'est une ville pleine de sites intéressants – avec un jardin zoologique, un rocher du château et un musée local. Une excursion au barrage de Falkenstein, une destination idyllique de détente, vaut absolument le détour. Lors du parcours, le Vogtland porte bien son nom et montre des prairies et forêts riches en fleurs. Des étapes intéressantes en chemin sont la nouvelle grange de Bergen avec une exposition d'art populaire. Peu avant l'arrivée, une excursion au barrage de Pirk est recommandée. À l'arrivée à Oelsnitz, en plus de l'église St. Jakobi et de la mairie, le château de Voigtsberg est particulièrement intéressant. Ce château vieux de plus de 760 ans avec son musée de la tapisserie intégré est situé en périphérie, haut au-dessus de la ville, et est un véritable régal pour les yeux déjà de loin. Conseil spécial : le départ et l'arrivée de ce parcours sont situés directement aux gares des deux villes pour un retour confortable avec le train du Vogtland.

The route offers an optimal alternative for all cyclists who want to gently experience the hilly upland landscape of Vogtland from valley to valley on a former railway embankment without major altitude differences. The route begins at the train station in Falkenstein. The town of Falkenstein, framed by beautiful forests, shows Vogtland from one of its most beautiful sides. It is a town full of sights – with a zoo, castle rocks, and a local history museum. A detour to the Falkenstein reservoir, an idyllic recreational spot, is definitely worthwhile. On the route, Vogtland truly lives up to its name and shows colorful blooming meadows and forests. Interesting stops along the way include the Neue Scheune Bergen with a folk art exhibition. Shortly before the destination, a detour to the Pirk reservoir is recommended. At the destination in Oelsnitz, besides St. Jakobi Church and the town hall, Voigtsberg Castle is especially worth seeing. This over 760-year-old castle complex with an integrated carpet museum is located on the outskirts high above the town and is a true sight even from afar. Special tip: The start and finish of this route are directly at the train stations of the two towns for an easy return trip with the Vogtland railway.
