We have a distance of 7.5 km ahead of us. We will have to overcome 60 meters of ascent and 135 meters of descent. Our tester, Veit Riffer, completed the route without assistance. Veit is a well-trained wheelchair user with a special wheelchair (see photo). We recommend undertaking the hike with friends. From our point of view, this is necessary as the route is quite long and there is no mobile phone reception over large parts. Those hiking from Grünbach to Schöneck will need strong helpers due to the topography. During the hike, you can fully enjoy the peace and fresh air of the Vogtland forests.

Nous avons devant nous un  parcours  de 7,5 km. Nous devrons surmonter 60 mètres de dénivelé positif et 135 mètres de dénivelé négatif. Notre testeur, Veit Riffer, a réussi le parcours sans assistance. Veit est un utilisateur de fauteuil roulant sportif avec un fauteuil roulant spécial (voir photo). Nous recommandons d'entreprendre la randonnée avec des amis. À notre avis, cela est nécessaire car le parcours est assez long et il n'y a pas de couverture mobile sur une grande partie. Ceux qui randonnent de Grünbach à Schöneck ont besoin d'aides fortes en raison de la topographie. Pendant la randonnée, on peut pleinement profiter du calme et de l'air sain des forêts de Vogtland.

Vor uns liegt eine  Strecke  von 7,5 km. Wir werden 60 Höhen- und 135 Gefällemeter zu überwinden haben. Unser Tester, Veit Riffer, hat die Tour ohne Hilfe gemeistert. Veit ist ein durchtrainierter Rollifahrer mit einem speziellen Rollstuhl (siehe Foto). Wir empfehlen, die Wanderung mit Freunden in Angriff zu nehmen. Das ist aus unserer Sicht notwendig, da die Strecke eine beträchtliche Länge hat und über weite Teile keine Handyverbindung vorhanden ist. Wer von Grünbach nach Schöneck wandert, benötigt auf Grund der Topografie kräftige Helfer.  Während der Wanderung kann man die Ruhe und gesunde Luft der Vogtländischen Wälder in vollen Zügen genießen.

Einige Meter zuvor kommt von rechts der mit grünen Balken auf weißem Grund ausgezeichnete Regionalwanderweg Schöneck – Grünbach. Er beginnt am Meiler. Den Roten Muldenweg verlassen wir nach links, überqueren die Bahnlinie und die S302. Von jetzt bis Grünbach folgen wir dem Regionalwanderweg. Der Untergrund ist eine gut verfestigte sandgeschlämmte Schotterdecke. Nach ca. 3 km kommt von rechts der Musikantensteig. Wir haben den höchsten Punkt der Wanderung erreicht. Von nun an geht es fast nur bergab bis zur S 304. Dieser müssen wir einige Meter nach links ohne Fußweg folgen. Nach ca. 150m beginnt auf der linken Straßenseite der Fußweg. Wir folgen der Muldenberger Straße bis zur Krummen Straße, die sich auf der rechten Seite befindet. Dieser folgen wir bis zur Bahnhofstraße, in die wir nach rechts einbiegen.

Hikers using the train should register at least 24 hours before the start of the journey. On the train, we were always met by friendly staff who were helpful during boarding and alighting. For the return journey, we used the Vogtlandbahn.
