At various resting places, young and old hikers can learn interesting and amusing facts about the very voracious monsters that are said to have been up to mischief in the Vogtland region a long time ago and 85 years ago gave their name to the Dragon's Cave - the only dripstone cave in Saxony. A brave miller's boy is said to have surprised the voracious monster in his sleep on the hill of the present windmill and stabbed it to death with a pitchfork. In this way, the miller's sweetheart was saved from her gruesome fate.

An verschiedenen Rastplätzen erfährt der kleine und große Wanderer interessantes und lustiges über die sehr gefräßigen Ungeheuer, die vor langer Zeit im Vogtland ihr Unwesen getrieben haben sollen und vor 85 Jahren der Drachenhöhle - der einzigen Tropfsteinhöhle Sachsens, ihren Namen gaben. Auf der Anhöhe der jetzigen Windmühle soll ein mutiger Müllerbursch das gefräßige Ungetüm im Schlaf überrascht und mit der Mistgabel erstochen haben. So konnte die Liebste des Müllerburschen vor ihrem grausigen Schicksal bewahrt werden.

Aux différentes aires de repos, les randonneurs, petits et grands, apprennent des choses intéressantes et amusantes sur les monstres très voraces qui, il y a longtemps, auraient sévi dans le Vogtland et qui, il y a 85 ans, ont donné leur nom à la grotte du dragon - la seule grotte de stalactites de Saxe. Sur la colline de l'actuel moulin à vent, un courageux meunier aurait surpris le monstre vorace dans son sommeil et l'aurait poignardé avec une fourche. C'est ainsi que la bien-aimée du meunier a pu être sauvée de son horrible destin.

Anschließend folgt die Wanderung in Richtung Windmühle. Dort stand einst zu Ehren des Drachenbezwingers eine kleine Kapelle. Der Weg führt vorbei an offenen Feldern in das düstere Dickicht des Waldes. Knarzende Baumriesen, moosbewachsene Lichtungen und eigentümliche Waldgestalten beflügeln die Fantasie um das grüne Fabelwesen. Auf humorvolle, spielerische Weise erwarten verschiedene Tafeln und Aktivstationen die Neugierigen. Am Ende landet man dann wieder Ursprung der Sage – einem unterirdischen Naturschauspiel.

Des forêts denses abritaient des hommes-mousses, des ruisseaux cristallins étaient la patrie de belles naïades et un monde souterrain caché était, dit-on, le royaume d'un dragon vorace. C'est sur ses traces que se déroule le circuit du dragon, qui débute à la grotte du dragon de Syrau. Cette grotte, la seule de Saxe, doit son nom évocateur à la légende. La randonnée se poursuit ensuite en direction du moulin à vent. Une petite chapelle s'y trouvait autrefois en l'honneur du vainqueur du dragon. Le chemin passe devant des champs ouverts et s'enfonce dans les fourrés sombres de la forêt. Les arbres géants qui craquent, les clairières couvertes de mousse et les personnages étranges de la forêt enflamment l'imagination autour de la créature verte fabuleuse. Différents panneaux et stations actives attendent les curieux de manière humoristique et ludique. Au final, on revient à l'origine de la légende - un spectacle naturel souterrain.
