<p>Der Naturlehrpfad (NLPf) wurde als Rundwanderweg ausgelegt und beinhaltet viele für unsere Heimat in diesem Bereich bemerkenswerte geologische, naturkundliche, botanische, geschichtliche und siedlungsprägende Erscheinungen. Diese werden auf großformatigen Tafeln erläutert sowie auch der Verlauf des NLPf. Man startet in Streufdorf am Marktbrunnen, biegt nach etwa 200 m in die Straße der Jugend und läuft bergauf vorbei an der Schule. Am Wegepunkt (WP) 25 biegt man links ab und folgt der Ausschilderung Naturlehrpfad entlang des Waldrandes. Von der Anhöhe bietet sich eine herrliche Sicht auf Streufdorf, die Gleichberge, das Krecktal mit Seidingstadt sowie auf den Straufhain. Im östlichen Bereich weitet sich der Blick zur Frankenschwelle, dem Thüringer Wald und zum Nachbarort Roßfeld.</p>
<p>Nach etwa 700 m (die letzten 100 m führen durch buschiges Gelände) trifft man auf eine Sitzbank von der man direkt auf den Straufhain blickt. Der vor Millionen Jahren erloschene Vulkan ist die höchste Erhebung der Gegend. Ein Aufstieg zur Burgruine in einer separaten Tour ist lohnenswert, denn der Ausblick ist spektakulär. An der Sitzbank hält man sich links am Waldrand und läuft hinab, bis man auf eine uralte Kopfweidenallee gelangt. Man folgt dieser und gelangt zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. Nach der gemütlichen Rundtour empiehlt sich ein Besuch im Zweiländermuseum Rodachtal, das in einer einzigartigen Kirchwehranlage, den Kemenaten, untergebracht ist.</p> |

Vers l'est, la vue s'élargit à la Frankenschwelle, à la forêt de Thuringe et au village voisin de Roßfeld.</p>

Le volcan éteint depuis des millions d'années est le point culminant de la région. Une ascension vers les ruines du château lors d'une autre excursion vaut la peine, car la vue est spectaculaire. Au niveau du banc, on tourne à gauche à la lisière de la forêt et on descend jusqu'à une très vieille allée de saules têtards. On la suit pour revenir au point de départ. Après cette balade tranquille, il est recommandé de visiter le Musée des Deux-Pays Rodachtal, qui se trouve dans une enceinte paroissiale unique, les Kemenaten.</p> |

These are explained on large-format panels along with the course of the NLPf. You start in Streufdorf at the market fountain, turn left after about 200 m into Jugend Street and walk uphill past the school. At waypoint (WP) 25, turn left and follow the signage for the nature trail along the forest edge. From the height there is a wonderful view of Streufdorf, the Gleichberge, the Krecktal with Seidingstadt as well as the Straufhain. In the eastern area, the view opens up to the Franconian Escarpment, the Thuringian Forest, and the neighboring village of Roßfeld.</p>

The volcano, which became extinct millions of years ago, is the highest elevation in the area. A climb up to the castle ruins on a separate route is worthwhile because the view is spectacular. After the pleasant circular route, a visit to the Zweiländermuseum Rodachtal, housed in a unique church defensive structure called the Kemenaten, is recommended.</p> |
