Vom Kräutergarten direkt an der historischen Stadtmauer ist es nicht weit zum Jagdschloss. In dem sehenswerten Bau ist heute die Gästeinformation des Ortes untergebracht. Entlang der Stadtmauer und vorbei am Park der Generationen und der St. Johanniskirche verlassen wir die Stadt. Die nächsten Highlights bilden die Dammühle im Mühlbachtal und die Anhöhe mit einer wundervollen Aussicht über das Coburger Land und zu den Langen Bergen. Unterwegs wird der Schweighof mit seinen Galloway-Rindern mitten in den Schweighof-Auen passiert und durch die Rodach-Auen geht es schließlich zurück zum Ausgangspunkt in Bad Rodach.

Depuis le jardin d’herbes directement à la muraille historique, ce n’est pas loin jusqu’au château de chasse. Dans ce bâtiment remarquable se trouve aujourd’hui l’office de tourisme du village. En longeant la muraille et en passant devant le parc des générations ainsi que l’église Saint-Jean, nous quittons la ville. Les points forts suivants sont le moulin Dammühle dans la vallée de Mühlbach ainsi que la colline offrant une vue magnifique sur la région de Cobourg et les Langen Bergen. En chemin, nous passons par le domaine Schweighof avec ses bovins Galloway au milieu des prairies de Schweighof, puis à travers les prairies de Rodach, nous retournons finalement au point de départ à Bad Rodach.

From the herb garden right at the historic town wall, it is not far to the hunting lodge. In this remarkable building is now the local guest information. Along the town wall and past the Park of Generations and St. John's Church, we leave the town. The next highlights are the dam mill in the Mühlbach valley and the hill with a wonderful view over the Coburg region and to the Langen Mountains. On the way, the Schweighof with its Galloway cattle in the middle of the Schweighof meadows is passed, and through the Rodach meadows it finally goes back to the starting point in Bad Rodach.

Entlang der historischen Stadtmauer mit Wallgraben und Park der Generationen, der St. Johanniskirche zur Rechten, geht die Route über die Heldritter Straße durch ein vorbildlich angelegtes Neubaugebiet mit hohem Wohnwert zur historischen Dammühle im Mühlbachtal. Durch die tief eingeschnittene Mulde der Leopoldsruh mit gefasster Quelle wandert man auf die Anhöhe oberhalb der Mühle und hat wieder einen weiten Blick zu den Langen Bergen und in das Coburger Land.</p> <p>Vor der kleinen Schwester der Rodach-Linde am Büchenried steht eine Bank zum Verweilen und Schauen. Ein Abstecher zur Rodach-Linde auf der Anhöhe bei Oettingshausen ist möglich (hierfür folgt man dem Baumsymbol). Weiter geht es an der Domäne Schweighof (Galloway-Rinder in den Schweighof-Auen) vorbei, über die Staatsstraße (Achtung starker Fahrverkehr) und den Schienenweg hinweg in die Rodach-Auen und zurück zur Stadtmitte zum Ausgangspunkt, dem Kräutergarten. Am Marktplatz laden Cafés und Restaurants zur wohlverdienten Rast ein. Zum Entspannen und Erholen empfehlen wir nach der Tour einen Besuch der ThermeNatur.</p>

Durch die tief eingeschnittene Mulde der Leopoldsruh mit gefasster Quelle wandert man auf die Anhöhe oberhalb der Mühle und hat wieder einen weiten Blick zu den Langen Bergen und in das Coburger Land. Vor der kleinen Schwester der Rodach-Linde am Büchenried steht eine Bank zum Verweilen und Schauen. Ein Abstecher zur Rodach-Linde auf der Anhöhe bei Oettingshausen ist möglich (hierfür folgt man dem Baumsymbol). Weiter geht es an der Domäne Schweighof (Galloway-Rinder in den Schweighof-Auen) vorbei, über die Staatsstraße (Achtung starker Fahrverkehr) und den Schienenweg hinweg in die Rodach-Auen und zurück zur Stadtmitte zum Ausgangspunkt, dem Kräutergarten.
