Raus aus dem Städtchen geht es über die Kühlitze vorbei am Teufelberg und am besagten Erzberg zurück. Trotz des hügeligen Streckenprofils ist die Schwierigkeit als „mittel“ einzustufen und somit für jedermann machbar. An der Kühlitze befand sich einstmals ein Standort einer funktechnischen Einheit der NVA der ehemaligen DDR. Ein überdachter Rastplatz mit Informationen zu diesem historischen Ort lädt zu einer Rast ein. Von hier hat man bei gutem Wetter eine ausgezeichnete Fernsicht bis weit hinein nach Franken.

Out of the small town, the route goes over the Kühlitze past the Devil's Mountain and the aforementioned Erzberg back. Despite the hilly terrain profile, the difficulty is classified as "medium" and thus doable for everyone. At the Kühlitze there used to be a location of a signal unit of the NVA of the former GDR. A covered rest area with information about this historic site invites you to take a break. From here, in good weather, there is an excellent long-distance view far into Franconia.

Sortant de la petite ville, on passe par la Kühlitze, en longeant le Teufelberg et le Erzberg mentionné, pour revenir. Malgré le profil vallonné du parcours, la difficulté est classée comme « moyenne » et donc réalisable par tout le monde. À la Kühlitze se trouvait autrefois un site d'une unité radio de la NVA de l'ancienne RDA. Un abri pour se reposer avec des informations sur ce lieu historique invite à une pause. Par temps clair, la vue panoramique s'étend loin dans la Franconie.

Über den Kirchhofsweg läuft man zur Andreaskirche auf dem Berg und zum Friedhof von Ummerstadt. Nach einer kurzen Verschnaufpause wandert man den Weg, der rechts an der Friedhofsmauer entlang führt hinauf bis man auf einen Schotterweg stößt. Man hält sich rechts und folgt weiter der Beschilderung für den Rundweg U1, der fast geradeaus über den Weinberg bis hinauf zur „Kühlitze“, der höchsten Erhebung von Ummerstadt führt.</p> <p>Von der Höhe führt ein Waldweg durch lichten Birkenwald zum „Kupferbrunnen“ mit überdachten Rastplatz. Ab hier hält man sich links und wandert weiter entlang des Schotterweges bis zum WP3, wo man rechts abbiegt und weiter auf einem Schotterweg, vorbei am Salzkörnersgrundsee bis zum Wegepunkt (WP) 2 läuft. Dort biegt man links auf den Kolonnenweg ab. Nach etwa 1 km biegt man links und nach weiteren 50 m erneut links ab. Nach weiteren 200 m hält man sich rechts und folgt dem Weg bis man schließlich auf den Lehnengrundsee stößt. Ein weiterer Teich schließt sich hier an.</p> <p>Der Weg führt weiter geradeaus durch den Schappachsgrund, links vom Weg erhebt sich der Leonhardsberg. Am WP4 biegt man links ab und wandert weiter geradeaus bis zum WP11. Ab hier folgt man der Beschilderung, vorbei am Sportplatz (links) und dem Wohngebiet hinauf auf die Anhöhe oberhalb des Friedhofes. Schließlich wandert man zurück zum Ausgangspunkt, wo den Wanderer die „Rathausgaststätte“ bereits zu einer zünftigen Mahlzeit erwartet.</p>

À partir d'ici, on prend à gauche et continue le long du chemin de gravier jusqu'au WP3, où l'on tourne à droite et suit un sentier de gravier, passant par le lac Salzkörnersgrund jusqu'au point de cheminement (WP) 2. Là, on tourne à gauche sur le chemin de la colonne. Après environ 1 km, on tourne à gauche, puis encore à gauche après 50 m. Après 200 m supplémentaires, on prend à droite et suit le chemin jusqu'à arriver au lac Lehnengrundsee. Un autre étang se trouve à proximité.</p> <p>Le chemin continue tout droit à travers le Schappachsgrund, avec le Leonhardsberg s'élevant à gauche du chemin. Au WP4, on tourne à gauche et poursuit tout droit jusqu'au WP11. À partir de là, on suit la signalisation, passant par le terrain de sport (à gauche) et la zone résidentielle, jusqu'à la hauteur au-dessus du cimetière. Enfin, on revient au point de départ, où le randonneur est accueilli par la « Rathausgaststätte » pour un bon repas traditionnel.</p>

Der Weg führt weiter geradeaus durch den Schappachsgrund, links vom Weg erhebt sich der Leonhardsberg. Am WP4 biegt man links ab und wandert weiter geradeaus bis zum WP11. Ab hier folgt man der Beschilderung, vorbei am Sportplatz (links) und dem Wohngebiet hinauf auf die Anhöhe oberhalb des Friedhofes. Schließlich wandert man zurück zum Ausgangspunkt, wo den Wanderer die „Rathausgaststätte“ bereits zu einer zünftigen Mahlzeit erwartet.

Par le Kirchhofsweg, on marche vers l'église Saint-André sur la colline et vers le cimetière d'Ummerstadt. Après une courte pause, on suit le chemin qui longe le mur du cimetière sur la droite jusqu'à atteindre un chemin de gravier. On tourne à droite et continue de suivre la signalisation du circuit U1, qui mène presque tout droit à travers la vigne jusqu'à la « Kühlitze », le point culminant d'Ummerstadt. De la hauteur, un sentier forestier traverse une forêt claire de bouleaux jusqu'à la « Kupferbrunnen » avec un abri couvert pour la pause. À partir d'ici, on prend à gauche et continue le long du chemin de gravier jusqu'au WP3, où l'on tourne à droite et suit un sentier de gravier, passant par le lac Salzkörnersgrund jusqu'au point de cheminement (WP) 2. Là, on tourne à gauche sur le chemin de la colonne. Après environ 1 km, on tourne à gauche, puis encore à gauche après 50 m. Après 200 m supplémentaires, on prend à droite et suit le chemin jusqu'à arriver au lac Lehnengrundsee. Un autre étang se trouve à proximité. Le chemin continue tout droit à travers le Schappachsgrund, avec le Leonhardsberg s'élevant à gauche du chemin. Au WP4, on tourne à gauche et poursuit tout droit jusqu'au WP11. À partir de là, on suit la signalisation, passant par le terrain de sport (à gauche) et la zone résidentielle, jusqu'à la hauteur au-dessus du cimetière. Enfin, on revient au point de départ, où le randonneur est accueilli par la « Rathausgaststätte » pour un bon repas traditionnel.

Via Kirchhofsweg, you walk to the St. Andrew's Church on the hill and to the Ummerstadt cemetery. After a short break, you hike the path that runs to the right along the cemetery wall up until you reach a gravel path. You keep to the right and continue to follow the signs for the circular path U1, which almost straight ahead leads over the vineyard up to the "Kühlitze", the highest elevation of Ummerstadt. From the height, a forest path leads through a bright birch forest to the "Kupferbrunnen" with a covered rest place. From here, you keep to the left and continue along the gravel path to WP3, where you turn right and continue on a gravel path, passing the Salzkörnersgrund Lake until waypoint (WP) 2. There, you turn left onto the Kolonnenweg. After about 1 km, turn left and after another 50 m left again. After another 200 m, keep right and follow the path until you finally reach Lehnengrund Lake. Another pond adjoins here. The path continues straight through the Schappachsgrund, with Leonhardsberg rising to the left of the path. At WP4 you turn left and continue straight on to WP11. From here you follow the signs, passing the sports field (left) and the residential area up to the hill above the cemetery. Finally, you hike back to the starting point where the "Rathausgaststätte" already awaits the hiker with a hearty meal.
