About: Wenn Wunden Wunder werden, Quand les blessures deviennent des miracles, When wounds become wonders

La randonnée commence au parking à Brandenburg et suit la balise X9 (parcours Wartburg) vers l'ouest jusqu'au détour de la Herleshäuser Straße. Ici, nous tournons en direction de Herleshausen et atteignons au milieu du pont la frontière entre la Thuringe et la Hesse. Des souvenirs de la "frontière blessée" sont évoqués sur une plaque et à l'aide de deux "monuments", avant que nous ne marchions à travers une magnifique allée de tilleuls vers Herleshausen. Lors d'un détour par le petit pont vers l'église catholique, nous rencontrons la grotte de reconnaissance et un panneau d'information sur la fuite et l'expulsion. De retour à la route, nous restons à droite et continuons par la Lauchröder Straße jusqu'au Anger. En traversant le passage pour piétons, nous nous tournons à gauche et allons vers la bifurcation de la route vers Eschwege/Altefeld, puis en direction du cimetière. Un chemin parallèle au cimetière nous mène à la piscine jusqu'à la fin de l'installation sportive. À droite, le X9 (parcours Wartburg) bifurque maintenant en montée vers le cimetière juif et le cimetière de guerre soviétique. Les informations sur place soulignent l'unicité de cet ensemble. En suivant la route goudronnée en descente, nous atteignons le passage sous l'A4, restons à gauche jusqu'à l'hôtel Gutsschänke. Nous traversons la route principale jusqu'à la voie ferrée et allons à droite jusqu'à la gare. Une visite au musée (ouvert sur rendez-vous) est fortement recommandée, car elle offre un petit aperçu de l'histoire allemande après 1950. Par le passage souterrain, nous atteignons le chemin qui nous ramène vers l'ouest à l'allée et au point de départ de la randonnée.

The hike begins at the parking lot at Brandenburg and follows the X9 (Wartburg Trail) marking westwards to the Herleshäuser Straße junction. Here we turn towards Herleshausen and reach the state border Thuringia/Hesse at the middle of the bridge. Memories of the "Wounded Border" are evoked on a panel and by two "monuments" before we walk through a magnificent lime tree avenue to Herleshausen. On a detour over the small bridge to the Catholic church, we come across the Grotto of Thanks and an information panel about flight and expulsion. Back to the street, we keep right and continue through Lauchröder Straße to the green space (Anger). Across the zebra crossing, we turn left and go to the junction of the road to Eschwege/Altefeld and here towards the cemetery. A path parallel to the cemetery leads us to the swimming pool until the end of the sports facility. To the right now branches off the X9 (Wartburg Trail) ascending to the Jewish cemetery and the Soviet war cemetery. On-site information points to the uniqueness of this site. Following the paved road downhill, we reach the underpass of the A4, keep left to the Gutsschänke Hotel. We cross the main road to the railway line and go right to the station. A visit to the museum (opens by appointment) is highly recommended, as it offers a small insight into German history after 1950. Through the underpass, we reach the path that leads us westwards back to the avenue and to the starting point of the hike.

Die Wanderung beginnt am Parkplatz an der Brandenburg und verläuft mit der Markierung X9 (Wartburgpfad) Richtung Westen bis zum Abzweig Herleshäuser Straße. Hier biegen wir Richtung Herleshausen ab und erreichen auf der Mitte der Brücke die Landesgrenze Thüringen/Hessen. Erinnerungen an die "Wunde Grenze" werden auf einer Tafel und anhand zweier "Denkmale" geweckt, bevor wir durch eine prachtvolle Lindenallee  nach Herleshausen Wandern. Bei einem Abstecher über die kleine Brücke zur katholischen Kirche treffen wir auf die Dankesgrotte und eine Infotafel zu Flucht und Vertreibung. Zurück zur Straße halten wir uns rechts und gehen weiter durch die Lauchröder Straße bis zum Anger. Über den Zebrastreifen wenden wir uns nach links und gehen zum Abzweig der Straße nach Eschwege/Altefeld und hier Richtung Friedhof. Ein Weg, parallel zum Friedhof führt uns zu Schwimmbad bis zum Ende der Sportanlage. Nach rechts zweigt jetzt der X9 (Wartburgpfad) ansteigend zum jüdischen Friedhof und zur sowj. Kriegsgräberstätte ab. Informationen vor Ort weisen auf die Einmaligkeit dies er Anlage hin. Der Teerstraße bergab folgend erreichen wir die Unterführung der A4, halten uns links bis zum Hotel Gutsschänke. wir überqueren die Hauptstraße bis zur Bahnlinie und gehen rechts bis zum Bahnhof. Ein Besuch des Museums (öffnet nach Vereinbarung) ist sehr empfehlenswert, gibt es doch einen kleinen Einblick in die Deutsche geschichte nach 1950. Durch die Unterführung erreichen wir den Weg, der uns Richtung Westen wieder zur Allee und zum Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung führt.
