Freizeitläufer werden durch das Streckenprofil nicht überfordert und ambitionierte Sportler finden nicht nur durch die exakte Zeitmessung professionelle Bedingungen vor. Durch seinen Streckenverlauf werden die ehemaligen Grenzen mehrfach überschritten. Die Einwohner der zahlreichen kleinen Ortschaften entlang der Strecke werden für eine abwechslungsreiche und stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre unterwegs sorgen.

Half-timbered houses, a rich cultural landscape, two thermal baths, down-to-earth industries, state-of-the-art medicine, and traditional festivals – all these shape the region at the junction of the federal states of Bavaria and Thuringia. Long separated by the inner-German border, a new sense of togetherness is developing on the historical roots of the shared Franconian homeland. This is also symbolized by the river valleys, such as the Rodach and the Kreck, but also by the green belt of the former border strip, which has now developed into a large biotope of European significance. The MEDICAL PARK Marathon... borderless in the Rodach valley brings together hobby runners and professionals as a joy-filled popular run. Leisure runners are not overwhelmed by the course profile, and ambitious athletes find professional conditions not only through precise timing. The course crosses the former borders several times. Residents of the numerous small towns along the route provide a varied and lively atmosphere on the way.
