Here alpine winter sports and cross-country skiing meet directly. The trail Rund um den Fellberg starts at the parking lot of Skiarena Silbersattel, Thuringia's largest alpine ski area. The easiest way up is by chairlift to the Steinach local mountain, the Fellberg. If you prefer the sporty option, you can enter the trail directly at the parking lot of Skiarena Silbersattel.  From the parking lot, it goes steeply uphill towards Petershütt. Via Köhlergrabenruh you reach the Fellbergbaude. At 842 meters above sea level lies the Fellbergstein, which is the highest elevation of Steinach and which you will then conquer. For the return, you go via Milonsruh and are rewarded with a great view. Very close by is the Pathelsbruch, a former slate quarry. Along the family slope of the ski arena, you return to the mid-station and to the parking lot by the guesthouse Postbaude. If you want to extend the round, you can access the Petershütt trail and Drei Buchen trail at the Köhlersgrabenruh branch. On the Fellberg plateau, numerous options for cross-country skiing tours open up including a connection to the Rennsteig ski trail. A shortcut to the Kleine Fellberg round is also possible.

La piste « Rund um den Fellberg » commence au parking de la Skiarena Silbersattel, la plus grande station alpine de Thuringe. Le moyen le plus confortable pour accéder au Fellberg, la montagne locale de Steinach, est le télésiège. Si vous préférez la variante sportive, commencez directement au parking de la Skiarena Silbersattel sur la piste de ski de fond. Depuis le parking, la montée est raide en direction de Petershütt. Par Köhlergrabenruh, vous atteignez la cabane de Fellbergbaude. Le Fellbergstein, à 842 mètres d'altitude, est le point culminant de Steinach que vous devrez ensuite conquérir. Pour le retour, passez par Milonsruh et profitez d’une belle vue. À proximité se trouve aussi le Pathelsbruch, une ancienne carrière d’ardoise à griffes. En longeant la piste familiale de la station, vous revenez à la station intermédiaire et au parking à l’auberge Postbaude. Pour prolonger la boucle, vous pouvez prendre la bifurcation Köhlersgrabenruh vers la piste Petershütt et la piste Drei Buchen. Sur le plateau du Fellberg, de nombreuses options de ski de fond s'offrent à vous, avec notamment une connexion au sentier de randonnée skiable Rennsteig. Un raccourci vers le petit parcours de Fellberg est également possible.

Hier trifft der alpine Wintersport und der Langlauf direkt aufeinander. Die Loipe Rund um den Fellberg startet am Parkplatz des Silbersattels, Thüringens größtes alpines Skigebiet. Am bequemsten kommen Sie mit dem Sessellift auf den Steinacher Hausberg, den Fellberg. Wenn Sie die sportliche Variante nutzen möchten, steigen Sie direkt am Parkplatz des Silbersattels in die Loipe ein.  Vom Parkplatz aus geht es steil bergauf in Richtung Petershütt. Über die Köhlergrabenruh erreichen Sie die Fellbergbaude. Auf 842 Metern üNN liegt der Fellbergstein, dies ist die höchste Erhebung von Steinach, welche Sie anschließend bezwingen werden. Für den Rückweg fahren Sie über Milonsruh und werden mit einem tollen Ausblick belohnt. Ganz in der Nähe befindet sich auch der Pathelsbruch, ein ehemaliger Griffelschieferbruch. Entlang der Familienabfahrt des Silbersattels geht es zurück zur Mittelstation und zum Parkplatz. Wer die Runde verlängern möchte, kann am Abzweig Köhlersgrabenruh auf die Petershütt-Loipe und Drei Buchen-Loipe gelangen. Auf dem Fellbergplateau eröffnen sich zahlreiche Optionen für Langlauftouren inklusive einer Anbindung an den Rennsteig Skiwanderweg. Eine Abkürzung auf die Kleine Fellbergrunde ist ebenfalls möglich.
