Die Wanderung, die anhand der gelben Markierung durchgängig beschildert ist, führt über die gigantische Staumauer vorbei am touristischen Areal der Schiffsanlegestelle der Talsperre Pöhl, sowie am Campingplatz Gunzenberg in Richtung Voigtsgrün. Unterwegs laden schöne Aussichtspunkte und Einkehrmöglichkeiten zum Verweilen ein. Die Vorsperren Neuensalz und Thoßfell werden überquert. Von Thoßfell bis Gansgrün verläuft der Wanderweg entlang der Straße, ansonsten vorrangig auf Feld- und Waldwegen, weshalb er nicht Kinderwagen- oder Rollstuhlgerecht ist. Erfahren Sie auf Ihrer Tour an zahlreichen Infotafeln auch die Geschichte des versunkenen Dorfes Pöhl, welches 1964 den Fluten der Talsperre Pöhl weichen musste und genießen Sie die Flora und Fauna des „Vogtländischen Meeres“.

Die durchgängig beschilderte Wanderung führt über die gigantische Staumauer vorbei am touristischen Areal der Schiffsanlegestelle der Talsperre Pöhl, sowie am Campingplatz Gunzenberg in Richtung Voigtsgrün. Unterwegs laden zahlreiche Aussichtspunkte und verschiedene Einkehrmöglichkeiten zum Verweilen ein. Besonders beliebt ist der romantische Ort Altensalz mit seiner Radwegekirche, die ursprünglich im Jahr 1214 errichtet wurde. Nach dem Ort werden die Vorsperren Neuensalz und Thoßfell überquert. Bis zu diesem Abschnitt befinden Sie sich auf Wegen, die mit dem Fahrrad und auch Kinderwagen gut passierbar sind. Ab dem Ort Thoßfell bis Gansgrün verläuft der Wanderweg entlang der Straße, anschließend wieder auf Feld- und Waldwegen, die Trittsicherheit erfordern, nicht Kinderwagen geeignet sind und nur von geübten Mountainbikefahrern genutzt werden. Im Waldstück zwischen dem Rollhübel und Bosenhübel sind rund 60 Treppenstufen zu überwinden. Anschließend verläuft der Weg durch einen Waldbereich, entlang an Feldern und durch das Dorf Helmsgrün. Weiter geht es in Wassernähe bis zu den ersten Campingvereinen im nordöstlichen Bereich der Talsperre. Ab diesem Bereich führt der Wanderweg durch besiedelte Gebiete und durchläuft auf dem letztem Kilometer das touristische Zentrum der Talsperre.</p> <p>Streckenbeschreibung:</p> <p>Staumauer-Schiffsanlegestelle, vorbei an der Liegewiese am Spielplatz-Grillplatz-Campingplatz Gunzenberg-entlang des Strandweges zur Voigtsgrüner Bucht-Dauercampingplatz Voigtsgrün-Altensalz-Unterquerung der A72-über die Vorsperre Neuensalz und Thoßfell zum Talsperre Nordufer-Ortsrand von Thoßfell- Friedhof Thoßfell-Unterführung der A72-Straße nach Gansgrün-Rollhübel-Göllischbach-Rastplatz am Westhang des Bosenhübels-Helmsgrün-Campingplatz der Segler an der Schloßhalbinsel-Straße zur Schlosshalbinsel wird überquert-Rodlera-Bungalowsiedlung Rodlera-Neudörfel-Wohnwagensiedlung Neudörfel-Freizeitgarten-Staumauer.</p> <p>Zur Geschichte:</p> <p>Erfahren Sie auf Ihrer Tour die Geschichte des versunkenen Dorfes Pöhl an zahlreichen Infotafeln und genießen Sie die Flora und Fauna des „Vogtländischen Meeres“.  </p> <p>Folgen Sie einfach der guten Beschilderung einmal um die Talsperre Pöhl!</p> <p>Die Wanderung führt nicht nur entlang der Talsperre Pöhl – sie führt gleichermaßen entlang der Grenzen des Dorfes Pöhl, welches 1964 den Fluten der Talsperre Pöhl weichen musste. Mit der Entscheidung, die Staumauer am Eintritt der Trieb in ihr Engtal zu errichten, wurde gleichzeitig das Schicksal von Pöhl besiegelt – einem Dorf, welches auf eine lange Geschichte zurückblicken konnte. Denn ca. 500 m vor dem Standort der Staumauer der Talsperre Pöhl gelegen, befand sich das Platzdorf, welches im Jahr 1288 das erste Mal urkundlich erwähnt wurde und wahrscheinlich auf eine slawische Gründung zurückzuführen ist. 1956 erfuhren die Einwohner Pöhls erstmals vom geplanten Bau der Sperrmauer im Engtal der Trieb. Durch den Talsperrenbau sollte eines der schönsten, kulturgeschichtlich wertvollsten Dörfer des Vogtlandes verschwinden. Sie forderten deshalb, noch einmal ernsthaft zu prüfen, ob nicht das erste Projekt, die Talsperre oberhalb Pöhls zu errichten, verwirklicht werden kann, damit das Dorf erhalten bleibt. Leider konnten sich die Einwohner nicht durchsetzen. 1956 wurde der Beschluss zum Bau der Talsperre gefasst. Auch wenn die Meinung der Bewohner davon abwich, waren der Bau der Staumauer im Engtal der Trieb und die daraus resultierende Flutung Pöhls besiegelt.</p> <p>Unmittelbar waren 530 Personen und 221 Haushalte, davon 10 Gewerbetreibende, vom Talsperrenbau betroffen. Die leerstehenden Gebäude wurden für einen geringen Preis zum Abriss an interessierte Bürger aus Pöhl angeboten. Die Grundmauern der ca. 70 Anwesen des alten Dorfes Pöhl existieren noch immer und treten bei extremem Niedrigwasser zum Vorschein, wie es in den vergangenen Jahren schon mehrmals der Fall war. Am 1. August 1961 wurde die politische Gemeinde Pöhl schließlich aufgelöst. Der 31. Juli 1961 gilt somit als letzter Tag in der Geschichte Pöhls.</p>

La randonnée entièrement balisée passe par le gigantesque barrage, le site touristique de la station de bateaux du barrage de Pöhl, ainsi que par le camping Gunzenberg en direction de Voigtsgrün. En chemin, de nombreux points de vue et différentes possibilités de restauration invitent à la détente. Le lieu romantique d'Altensalz avec son église sur la piste cyclable, construite à l'origine en 1214, est particulièrement apprécié. Après ce lieu, les retenues de Neuensalz et Thoßfell sont traversées. Jusqu'à ce point, vous empruntez des chemins adaptés aux vélos et aux poussettes. De Thoßfell à Gansgrün, le sentier de randonnée suit la route, puis reprends des chemins de campagne et de forêt qui nécessitent de la sûreté dans ses pas, ne sont pas adaptés aux poussettes et sont réservés aux vététistes expérimentés. Dans la forêt entre Rollhübel et Bosenhübel, environ 60 marches doivent être franchies. Ensuite, le chemin passe par une zone forestière, longe des champs et traverse le village de Helmsgrün. La randonnée continue au bord de l'eau jusqu'aux premiers clubs de camping situés dans la zone nord-est du barrage.
