Depuis Craula, le chemin de Luther mène directement au parc national de Hainich, classé au patrimoine mondial naturel de l'UNESCO. Le chemin des cimes des arbres offre une vue panoramique sur la région de Thuringe depuis ses 44 mètres de hauteur (tour-arbre avec maison dans les arbres) et ses plus de 500 mètres de longueur. En parcourant ce chemin, on découvre beaucoup sur la faune et la flore protégées de la « forêt primaire au cœur de l'Allemagne ». Au printemps, le parc national de Hainich attire avec une riche diversité de fleurs de printemps. En mai, les randonneurs profitent de tapis denses d’ail des ours. Dans la nature sauvage de cette hêtraie naturelle, la chatte sauvage, le pic, la chauve-souris et d’autres animaux trouvent leur habitat. Le centre du parc national à la Thiemsburg informe sur le site naturel inscrit au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO « Forêts de hêtres des Carpates et anciennes hêtraies d’Allemagne », comprenant le parc national de Hainich. Une grotte racinaire accessible, pour la vie sous terre dans le parc national, est la dernière attraction. Une autre particularité peut être vécue sur le chemin des cimes : yoga, voyages sonores ou méditation – détente au chant des oiseaux et avec une superbe vue sur les cimes des arbres – une offre à essayer absolument. Le tracé naturel du chemin de Luther passe par le Harthhaus et l’abri Salzablick jusqu'à la ville thermale et des roses de Bad Langensalza. Onze parcs et jardins thématiques font de Bad Langensalza une oasis à la lisière du parc national de Hainich. En 2011, la ville a reçu le titre de « ville la plus fleurie d'Europe » lors du concours international Entente Florale Europe. Le 29 mai 1516, Martin Luther séjourna à Salza. Venait de Gotha, il visita sur commission du Dr Johann von Staupitz le couvent des Augustins, pour vérifier si les moines vivaient selon la foi de saint Augustin. Aujourd’hui, seules subsistent les murailles extérieures du cloître des Augustins. La vieille ville de Bad Langensalza est dominée par l'église du marché Saint-Boniface, avec sa tour de près de 74 mètres de haut. Ce n’est qu’à la Pentecôte 1539 qu’un pasteur de Gotha y tint le premier sermon protestant. Le duc Georg de Saxe avait d'abord soutenu la Réforme, avant de s'opposer violemment à Luther. Ce n’est que son successeur, le duc Heinrich, qui approuva les enseignements de Martin Luther et en assura la rapide mise en œuvre.

From Craula, the Lutherweg leads directly into the UNESCO World Heritage Site Hainich National Park. The treetop walkway offers a wide view over the Thuringian land from 44 meters high (tree tower with treehouse) and more than 500 meters long. While on the treetop walkway, you learn a lot about the protected animal and plant life of the "primeval forest in the middle of Germany". In spring, Hainich National Park attracts visitors with a rich variety of early bloomers. In May, hikers enjoy dense carpets of wild garlic. In the wilderness of the natural beech forest, wildcats, woodpeckers, bats, and others find their home. At the National Park Center at Thiemsburg, you learn more about the UNESCO World Heritage “Beech Forests of the Carpathians and Ancient Beech Forests of Germany,” to which Hainich National Park belongs. A walk-in root cave showing life underground in the national park is the latest attraction here. Another special feature on the treetop walkway is yoga, sound journeys, or meditation – relaxation between bird song and a great view into the treetops – an offer you should definitely try. The natural route of the Lutherweg leads via the Harthhaus and the Salzablick shelter into the spa and rose city Bad Langensalza. Eleven parks and themed gardens make Bad Langensalza an oasis on the edge of Hainich National Park. In 2011, the city was awarded the title "Most Blooming City of Europe" in the international Entente Florale Europe competition. On May 29, 1516, Martin Luther stayed in Salza. Coming from Gotha, he visited the Augustinian monastery on behalf of Dr. Johann von Staupitz to examine whether the monks oriented their lives according to the faith of Saint Augustine. Only the outer walls remain today of the monastery’s cloister. The old town of Bad Langensalza is dominated by the striking St. Bonifacius Market Church with its approximately 74 meter high tower. It was not until Pentecost 1539 that the first Protestant sermon was held here by a pastor from Gotha. Duke Georg of Saxony initially supported the Reformation but later opposed Luther with all his might. Only his successor Duke Heinrich endorsed Martin Luther's teachings and ensured their rapid introduction.

Von Craula aus führt der Lutherweg direkt in das UNESCO-Weltnaturerbe Nationalpark Hainich. Der Baumkronenpfad gewährt mit 44 Metern Höhe (Baumturm mit Baumhaus) und mehr als 500 Metern Länge einen weiten Blick ins Thüringer Land. Ist man auf dem Baumkronenpfad unterwegs, erfährt man viel über die schützenswerte Tier- und Pflanzenwelt des "Urwalds mitten in Deutschland" Im Frühling lockt der Nationalpark Hainich mit einem reichen Bestand an Frühblühern. Im Mai erfreuen sich die Wanderer an dichten Teppichen aus Bärlauch. In der Wildnis des naturbelassenen Buchenwaldes finden Wildkatze, Specht, Fledermaus und Co. ihr Zuhause. Im Nationalparkzentrum an der Thiemsburg erfährt man mehr über das UNESCO – Weltnaturerbe „Buchenurwälder der Karpaten und Alte Buchenwälder Deutschlands“, zu dem der Nationalpark Hainich gehört. Eine begehbare Wurzelhöhle zum Leben im Untergrund des Nationalparks ist hier die neueste Attraktion. Und noch eine Besonderheit lässt sich auf dem Baumkronenpfad erleben: Yoga, Klangreisen oder Meditation –  Entspannung zwischen Vogelgezwitscher und einem tollen Blick in die Baumkronen - ein Angebot, das man unbedingt ausprobieren sollte. Der naturnahe Verlauf des Lutherweges führt über das Harthhaus und die Schutzhütte Salzablick in die Kur- und Rosenstadt Bad Langensalza. Elf Parks und Themengärten machen Bad Langensalza zu einer Oase am Rande des Nationalparks Hainich. 2011 wurde die Stadt mit dem Titel " Blühendste Stadt Europas“ im internationalen Wettbewerb Entente Florale Europe ausgezeichnet. Am 29. Mai 1516 weilte Martin Luther in Salza. Aus Gotha kommend, visitierte er im Auftrag von Dr. Johann von Staupitz das Augustinerkloster, um zu prüfen, ob die Mönche ihr Leben nach dem Glauben des Heiligen Augustinus ausrichten. Vom Kreuzgang des Augustinerklosters stehen heute nur noch die Außenmauern. Die Altstadt Bad Langensalzas wird von der markanten Marktkirche St. Bonifacii mit ihrem rund 74 Meter hohen Turm dominiert. Erst zu Pfingsten 1539 wurde hier durch einen Gothaer Pfarrer die erste protestantische Predigt gehalten. Herzog Georg von Sachsen hatte die Reformation zunächst unterstützt, sich dann aber mit aller Gewalt gegen Luther gewandt. Erst sein Nachfolger Herzog Heinrich befürwortete die Lehren Martin Luthers und sorgte für deren rasche Einführung.
