Le premier tronçon est dédié au fils de Schmalkalden, Carl Wilhelm, compositeur de la « Wacht am Rhein ». Vous marchez jusqu'à la fontaine Andreas avec son parcours pieds nus conçu exemplairement. Sur 21 stations avec divers matériaux (pierres, bois, etc.), vous pouvez entraîner votre équilibre et votre habileté. Sur un contrefort du Gieselsberg se trouve la Kalte Stube. Prenez place et reposez-vous sur le « plus long banc de Thuringe en un tronc d'arbre » ! Il est situé au milieu d'une allée de plus de 40 arbres de l'année, chacun avec une plaque d'information appropriée. Au sommet de la Röthkuppe vous attend une superbe vue panoramique sur plusieurs vallées, le centre-ville et les montagnes de la Forêt de Thuringe centrale. Dans l'idyllique Ehrental, vous pouvez choisir entre deux restaurants pour prendre un repas. Pour conclure la randonnée, observez un groupe de cerfs majestueux dans l'enclos à gibier.

The first section is dedicated to Schmalkalden’s son Carl Wilhelm, the composer of the “Wacht am Rhein”. You walk to the Andreas fountain with the exemplary barefoot experience path. At 21 stations with various materials (stones, wood, etc.), you can train your balance and dexterity. On a spur of the Gieselberg lies the Kalte Stube. Take a seat and rest on the “Longest bench in Thuringia made from a tree trunk”! It stands amidst an avenue of more than 40 Trees of the Year, each labeled accordingly. At Röthkuppe you can expect a magnificent panoramic view over several valleys, the town center and the mountains of the Middle Thuringian Forest. In idyllic Ehrental, you can choose between two restaurants for a meal. At the end of the tour, watch a herd of majestic deer in the wildlife enclosure.

Dem Schmalkalder Sohn Carl Wilhelm,  dem Komponisten der „Wacht am Rhein“, ist das erste Wegstück gewidmet. Sie wandern zum Andreasbrunnen mit dem dort mustergültig angelegten Barfußerlebnispfad. Auf 21 Stationen mit verschiedensten Materialien (Steine, Holz, etc.) können Sie Gleichgewicht und Geschicklichkeit schulen. An einem Ausläufer des Gieselsberges liegt die Kalte Stube. Nehmen Sie Platz und rasten auf der „Längsten Bank Thüringens aus einem Baumstamm“! Sie steht inmitten einer Allee aus mehr als 40 Bäumen des Jahres, jeder mit einer entsprechenden Beschriftung versehen. Auf der Röthkuppe  erwartet Sie eine prächtige Rundumsicht in mehrere Täler, auf das Stadtzentrum und auf die Berge des Mittleren Thüringer Waldes. Im idyllischen Ehrental können Sie zur Einkehr zwischen zwei Gaststätten wählen. Zum Abschluss der Tour beobachten Sie im Wildgehege ein Rudel stattlicher Hirsche.
