La montagne elle-même ne culmine qu'à 916,5 mètres, mais la grande antenne de transmission s'élève encore à 127 mètres dans le ciel. Bald darauf erreichen Sie am Großen Weißenberg den <strong><a href="http://gasthausrennsteig.de/">Dreiherrenstein</a></strong>. Auch hier lädt ein kleines uriges Gasthaus zu einer kurzen Rast ein.</p>
<p>Der folgende Abschnitt geht steil bergauf bis zum <strong><a href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gro%C3%9Fer_Inselsberg">Großen Inselsberg</a></strong>. Vorbei an der Beerberggrotte und dem Wartburgblick erreichen Sie alsbald das große Bergplateau. Hier oben gibt es neben dem <strong><a href="http://berggasthof-stoehr.de/">Berggasthof Stöhr</a></strong> auch die höchst gelegene <a href="https://herberge-inselsberg.de/"><strong>Jugendherberge</strong> </a>im Freistaat. Wer möchte, kann auf den 21 m hohen Aussichtsturm steigen und einen atemberaubenden Rundblick über den Westlichen Thüringer Wald genießen. Auf dem Inselsberg befindet sich im Übrigen auch der höhste Punkt in ganz Thüringen. Der Berg selber ist zwar nur 916,5 Meter hoch, allerdings ragt die große Sendeantenne nochmals 127 Meter in den Himmel.</p>
<p>Nachdem Sie den höchsten Punkt diese Etappe bezwungen haben geht es auf der zweiten Hälfte der Tour stetig bergab. Wer möchte, kann am Kleinen Inselsberg dem <strong><a href="http://www.sommerrodelbahn-inselsberg.de/">FUN-Park</a></strong> einen Besuch abstatten. Die Sommerrodelbahn ist ein echter Hit.</p>
<p>An der Gabelwiese und der Waltershäuser Hütte vorbei führt der Rennsteig durch die tiefen Mischwälder weiter über den Großen Jagdberg weiter zum <strong><a href="http://www.heuberghaus-am-rennsteig.de">Heuberghaus</a></strong>. Mitten im Wald gelegen ist es einer idyllischsten Orte im ganzen Thüringer Wald. Hier kann man sich übrigens auch in einer Ferienwohnung einmieten.</p>
<p>Zum Ende der 23 km langen Tour erreichen Sie die Ebertswiese.</p>

<p>La deuxième étape sera la première à prendre de la hauteur.</p>
<p>A l'entrée de l'étape, vous commencez votre tour à <strong><a href="http://www.hubertushaus-ruhla.de/">Waldgasthof &amp ; Rennsteighotel Hubertushaus</a></strong>. En passant par Ruhlaer Häuschen, vous atteindrez bientôt les prairies de Schlauchental et le Waldhaus Auerhahn. Vous continuez ensuite vers le Glöckner. De là, vous avez une vue magnifique sur la forêt de Thuringe méridionale jusqu'à Bad Liebenstein. Un peu plus tard, vous atteignez le Schillerbuche et le parking de randonnée correspondant. Au snack-bar <strong><a href="https://www.facebook.com/ImbissWallfahrt/">"Zur Wallfahrt am Rennsteig"</a></strong>, vous trouverez de nombreuses spécialités locales, mais aussi la classique saucisse de Thuringe, produite par le boucher local. Peu de temps après, vous atteindrez le <strong><a href="http://gasthausrennsteig.de/">Dreiherrenstein</a></strong> au Groen-Weissenberg. Là aussi, une petite auberge rustique vous invite à faire une petite pause.</p>
<p>Le tronçon suivant monte en pente raide jusqu'au <strong><a href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gro%C3%9Fer_Inselsberg">Grand Inselsberg</a></strong>. En passant par la grotte de Beerberg et la vue sur la Wartburg, vous atteindrez bientôt le grand plateau de la montagne. Là-haut se trouve, outre le <strong><a href="http://berggasthof-stoehr.de/">Berggasthof Stöhr</a></strong>, l'<a href="https://herberge-inselsberg.de/"><strong>auberge de jeunesse</strong> </a> la plus haute de l'État libre. Ceux qui le souhaitent peuvent monter sur la tour d'observation de 43 m de haut et profiter d'une vue panoramique à couper le souffle sur la forêt de Thuringe occidentale. C'est d'ailleurs sur l'Inselsberg que se trouve le point le plus élevé de toute la Thuringe. <p>Après avoir franchi le point le plus haut de cette étape, la deuxième moitié du tour est en descente constante. <p>On the second stage, things get really high for the first time.
</p><p>At the start of the stage, you start your tour at the <strong><a href="http://www.hubertushaus-ruhla.de/">Waldgasthof & Rennsteighotel Hubertushaus</a></strong>. Passing the Ruhlaer Häuschen you will soon reach the Schlauchentalwiesen and the Waldhaus Auerhahn. Continue on to the Glöckner. From here you have a wonderful view over the southern Thuringian Forest to Bad Liebenstein. A little later you reach the Schillerbuche and the associated hikers' car park. At the <strong><a href="https://www.facebook.com/ImbissWallfahrt/">Snack bar "Zur Wallfahrt am Rennsteig"</a></strong> you will find numerous local specialities as well as the classic Thuringian bratwurst from the local butcher. Soon after you will reach the <strong><a href="http://gasthausrennsteig.de/">Dreiherrenstein</a></strong> on the Gro&szlig Wei&szligberg. Here, too, a small, rustic inn invites you to take a short break.
</p><p>The following section goes steeply uphill to the <strong><a href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gro%C3%9Fer_Inselsberg">Großen Inselsberg</a></strong>. Passing the Beerberg Grotto and the Wartburg View, you soon reach the large mountain plateau. Up here you will find the <strong><a href="http://berggasthof-stoehr.de/">Berggasthof Stöhr</a></strong> and the highest <a href="https://herberge-inselsberg.de/"><strong>youth hostel</strong> </a> in the Free State. If you want, you can climb the 43-metre-high observation tower and enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Western Thuringian Forest. The Inselsberg is also the highest point in the whole of Thuringia. The mountain itself is only 916.5 metres high, but the large transmitter antenna rises another 127 metres into the sky.
</p><p>After you have conquered the highest point of this stage, the second half of the tour goes steadily downhill. If you want, you can visit the <strong><a href="http://www.sommerrodelbahn-inselsberg.de/">FUN Park</a></strong> on the Kleiner Inselsberg. The summer toboggan run is a real hit.
</p><p>Passing the Gabelwiese and the Waltershäuser Hütte, the Rennsteig trail continues through the deep mixed forests üvia the Grosse Jagdberg to the <strong><a href="http://www.heuberghaus-am-rennsteig.de">Heuberghaus</a></strong>. Located in the middle of the forest, it is one of the most idyllic places in the entire Thuringian Forest. You can also rent a holiday flat here.
