Kurz vor dem Ortseingang sehen sie linker Hand aus der Ferne das Fürst-Karl-Günther-Denkmal . Masserberg erreichen Sie direkt am großen Wanderparkplatz mit dem Rennsteighaus. Im Ort gibt es zahlreiche Einkehrmöglichkeiten Besonders zu erwähnen sind der Gasthof " Zum Breitenborn" und das Hotel Haus Oberland .  Weiter geht es nach kurzem Halt Richtung Rennsteigwarte auf dem Eselsberg. Der 33m hohe Turm beite bei gutem Wetter eine fantastische Sicht über den Thüringer Wald und nach Süden bis hin zur Veste Coburg. Die Turmbaude hat von Mittwoch bis Sonntag jeweils 11 bis 17 Uhr geöffnet. Über den kleinen Sauberg erreichen Sie bald die Eisfelder Ausspanne. Direkt östlich am Berghang liegt das Unterbecken des Pumpspeicherwerks Goldisthal . Es ist das größte Wasserkraftwerk Deutschlands. Vorbei am Denkmal zu Ehren Brunos von Germar erreichen Sie bald Friedrichshöhe. Einkehr und Übernachtung bieten das Gasthaus &amp; Pension "Zum Rennsteig" , die Gaststätte &amp; Pension "Hirschblick" oder die Pension "Arnika" .

An der Straße entlang erreichen Sie bald den Steinbruch am großen Hundskopf und laufen weiter nach Osten zum Großen Dreiherrenstein. Die Waldbaude liegt nicht nur direkt an der <strong><a href="https://www.thueringer-wald.com/urlaub-wandern-winter/naturparkroute-thueringer-wald-110356.html">Naturpark-Route</a></strong> und zieht alle Aktiven von Nah und Fern an. Bei frischen Bier und klassicher Thüringer Küche lässt es sich prima rasten.</p>
<p>Ein paar Meter weiter erreichen Sie die exakte Mitte des Rennsteigs. Weiter geht es durch die dichten Mischwälder nach Neustadt am Rensteig (nicht zu verwechseln mit Neuhaus am Rennweg). <p>Vous commencez cette étape au milieu de la forêt, dans le petit village d'Allzunah, non loin de Frauenwald. En longeant la route, vous atteignez bientôt la carrière du grand Hundskopf et continuez vers l'est jusqu'au Grosser Dreiherrenstein. La Waldbaude n'est pas seulement située directement sur la <strong><a href="https://www.thueringer-wald.com/urlaub-wandern-winter/naturparkroute-thueringer-wald-110356.html">route du parc naturel</a></strong> et attire tous les actifs d'ici et d'ailleurs. On peut s'y reposer en dégustant une bière fraîche et une cuisine classique de Thuringe.</p>
<p>Quelques mètres plus loin, vous atteignez le milieu exact du Rennsteig. Vous continuez à travers les denses forêts mixtes jusqu'à Neustadt am Rensteig (à ne pas confondre avec Neuhaus am Rennweg). C'est là que se trouve le <strong><a href="https://www.thueringen.info/rennsteigmuseum.html">Musée du Rennsteig</a></strong>. Au <strong><a href="http://www.rennsteighotel-hubertus.de/">Gasthof Hubertus</a></strong> ou au restaurant et <strong><a href="http://www.hotel-kammweg.com/">Hôtel Kammweg</a></strong>, vous pourrez vous régaler à l'heure du déjeuner. </p>
<p>Plus loin vers le sud, le Rennsteig suit les contreforts de la forêt de Thuringe en passant par Kahlert et Altenfeld jusqu'au Hoher Stock. Peu après la Schwalbenhauptwiese, vous atteignez le <strong><a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Triniusbaude/367620493309629">Triniusbaude</a></strong>. Cette petite auberge rustique se trouve directement à l'orée de la forêt et vous attend avec un rafraîchissement bienvenu. Ensuite, le chemin remonte jusqu'au "Erste Berg", à 830 mètres d'altitude. La station thermale de Masserberg n'est plus très loin. Sur le plateau, vous passez devant la station supérieure du téléski. Peu avant l'entrée dans le village, vous apercevez au loin sur votre gauche le monument <strong><a href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_G%C3%BCnther_(Schwarzburg-Sondershausen)">Fürst-Karl-Günther</a></strong>. Vous atteindrez Masserberg directement au grand parking de randonnée avec la maison du Rennsteig. Dans le village, il y a de nombreuses possibilités de se restaurer. Mentionnons en particulier l'auberge "<strong><a href="https://www.zum-breitenborn.de/com/home.htm">Zum Breitenborn</a></strong>" et l'<strong><a href="http://hotel-haus-oberland.de/">Hôtel Haus Oberland</a></strong>. </p>.
<p>Après un bref arrêt, nous continuons en direction de l'observatoire du Rennsteig sur l'Eselsberg. Par beau temps, cette tour de 33 mètres de haut offre une vue fantastique sur la forêt de Thuringe et vers le sud jusqu'à la Veste Coburg. La <strong><a href="https://www.facebook.com/pg/Turmbaude">Turmbaude</a></strong> est ouverte du mercredi au dimanche de 11h à 17h. </p>
<p>Au-delà du petit Sauberg, vous atteindrez bientôt l'Eisfelder Ausspanne. Directement à l'est, sur le versant de la montagne, se trouve le bassin inférieur de la <strong><a href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pumpspeicherwerk_Goldisthal">centrale de pompage-turbinage de Goldisthal</a></strong>. Il s'agit de la plus grande centrale hydroélectrique d'Allemagne. En passant devant le monument en l'honneur de Bruno von Germar, vous atteindrez bientôt Friedrichshöhe. <p>You start this stage in the middle of the forest in the small village of Allzunah not far from Frauenwald. </p><p>A few metres further on, you reach the exact centre of the Rennsteig. Continue through the dense mixed forests to Neustadt am Rensteig (not to be confused with Neuhaus am Rennweg). Here you will find the <strong><a href="https://www.thueringen.info/rennsteigmuseum.html">Rennsteigmuseum</a></strong>. At <strong><a href="http://www.rennsteighotel-hubertus.de/">Gasthof Hubertus</a></strong> or the restaurant and <strong><a href="http://www.hotel-kammweg.com/">Hotel Kammweg</a></strong> you can enjoy yourself around lunchtime.</p>
<p>Always heading south, the Rennsteig follows the foothills of the Thuringian Forest past Kahlert and Altenfeld to Hoher Stock. Shortly after the Schwalbenhauptwiese, you reach the <strong><a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Triniusbaude/367620493309629">Triniusbaude</a></strong>. This small, rustic inn is located directly on the edge of the forest and offers welcome refreshments. Afterwards, the trail climbs again to the 830m high "Erste Berg". <p>After a short stop, we continue towards the Rennsteigwarte on the Eselsberg. In good weather, the 33m-high tower offers a fantastic view over the Thuringian Forest and as far south as Veste Coburg.
