Nach ca. 3 km befindet sich rechter Hand, als Zeitzeuge längst vergangener Tage, der Morgenröther Hochofen, in welchem von 1900 bis 1968 über 9000 gusseiserne Kirchenglocken gegossen wurden. Kurz nach dem Hochofen biegt man links auf die Markersbacher Straße ab. Die Tour führt nun ab Waldanfang  abseits von Lärm und Hektik auf einem gut befestigten Waldweg, der Kammwegsmarkierung folgend, bis zum Naturschutzgebiet Drei Bächle mit dem ältesten Fichtenbestand Deutschlands. Von dort aus folgt man dem grünen Wanderweg in Richtung Sachsengrund. Der Rückweg verläuft auf der wenig befahrenen Pyratalstraße  Richtung Mogenröthe und weiter zurück zum Ausgangspunkt.
