Unweit der Goethe- und Universitätsstadt Ilmenau liegt die idyllische gelegene Talsperre Heyda. Der 7,6 km lange Rundwanderweg führt sowohl durch schattigen Fichtenwald als auch entlang des Ufers der Talsperre. Es bieten sich unterwegs viele Bänke und Sitzgruppen zum ausruhen und picknicken. Sieben Schautafeln zeigen dem Wanderer den aktuellen Standort und interessante Informationen zu Fauna und Flora. Nördlich von Ilmenau entspringt der kleine Fluss Wipfra. Er durch zieht den kleinen Wald an der Autobahn und fließt weiter ins Thürnger Becken. Einst hat man ihn nördlich der heutigen A71 angestaut um für die umliegenden Orte die Brauchwasserversorgung und einen Hochwasserschutz zu schaffen. Die Talsperre bei Ilmenau wurde von 1980 bis 1988 gebaut und 1989 zu Bewässerungszwecken in Betrieb genommen. Weitere Nutzungen sind: Niedrigwasseraufhöhung, Brauchwasserversorgung, Hochwasser- schutz und Fischzucht. So entstand die heutige Talsperre Heyda - DAS Naherholungsziel im Norden der himmelblauen Stadt vor den Toren des Thüringer Waldes. Der malerische Rundweg um den 95 Hektar großen Stausee führt durch die schönen Mischwälder und bietet einen abwechslungsreichen Verlauf mit vielen interessanten Ausblicken und Stellen zum rasten, entspannen und baden. Sogar per Boot kann man dem Wasser näher kommen. Ein idealer Startpunkt der Rundwanderung ist Das Hotel und Steakhouse Riverdam direkt an der Staumauer der Talsperre. Wer mag kann hier nicht nur übernachten sondern sich in dem erstklassigen Restaurant auch die "abgewanderte" Energie wieder zuführen und eines der ausgezeichneten Steaks schmecken lassen. Die Wanderung dauert etwa 2 Stunden und führt größtenteils auf dem ausgebauten Uferweg entlang. Non loin de la ville universitaire et Goethe d'Ilmenau se trouve le barrage idyllique de Heyda. Sept panneaux d'information montrent au randonneur sa position actuelle ainsi que des informations intéressantes sur la faune et la flore. Au nord d'Ilmenau, la petite rivière Wipfra prend sa source. Elle traverse une petite forêt près de l'autoroute et s'écoule jusqu'au bassin de Thuringe. Autrefois, elle a été retenue au nord de l'actuelle A71 afin de fournir de l'eau d'usage aux villages environnants et d'assurer la protection contre les crues. Le barrage d'Ilmenau a été construit entre 1980 et 1988 puis mis en service en 1989 à des fins d'irrigation. Ses autres usages sont : augmentation du débit en période de basses eaux, fourniture d'eau d'usage, protection contre les inondations et pisciculture. C'est ainsi qu'est né le barrage de Heyda - LA destination de loisirs proche au nord de cette ville au ciel bleu intense située aux portes de la Forêt de Thuringe. Le parcours pittoresque autour du lac de 95 hectares traverse les belles forêts mixtes et offre un tracé varié avec de nombreuses vues intéressantes et des endroits pour se reposer, se détendre et se baigner. On peut même s'approcher de l'eau en bateau. Un point de départ idéal pour la balade circulaire est l'Hôtel et Steakhouse Riverdam situé directement au barrage. Ceux qui le souhaitent peuvent non seulement y passer la nuit mais aussi recharger leur énergie dans ce restaurant de première classe en dégustant un des excellents steaks. La balade dure environ 2 heures et suit en grande partie le chemin aménagé au bord du lac. The 7.6 km long circular hiking trail leads both through shady spruce forest and along the shore of the reservoir. There are many benches and seating areas along the way for resting and picnicking. Seven display boards show hikers the current location and interesting information about fauna and flora. North of Ilmenau, the small Wipfra river originates. It passes through the small forest by the motorway and flows further into the Thuringian Basin. It was once dammed north of the present A71 to create a supply of process water and flood protection for the surrounding towns. The dam near Ilmenau was built from 1980 to 1988 and put into operation in 1989 for irrigation purposes. Other uses are: low water level increase, process water supply, flood protection, and fish farming. Thus, the present Heyda reservoir was created - THE local recreation destination in the north of the sky-blue city at the gates of the Thuringian Forest. The picturesque circular path around the 95-hectare large reservoir leads through beautiful mixed forests and offers a varied course with many interesting views and places to rest, relax, and swim. You can even get closer to the water by boat. An ideal starting point for the circular hike is the Hotel and Steakhouse Riverdam directly at the dam of the reservoir. Those who wish can not only stay overnight here but also recharge their "wandering away" energy in the first-class restaurant and savor one of the excellent steaks.
