Moderne Technik trifft wildromantische Natur: In der Abgeschiedenheit großer Waldflächen schlängelt sich der Rundwanderweg um das imposante Pumpspeicherwerk im Oberen Schwarzatal. Eine Wanderung um das gigantische Bauwerk ist ein absolutes Erlebnis: lässt Waldeinsamkeit spüren, dem Rauschen der Blätter und dem Plätschern der Wellen lauschen, den Duft der Bergwiesen riechen. Und das alles inmitten der Landschaft des Naturparkes Thüringer Wald. Das Pumpspeicherkraftwerk Goldisthal ist eines der Modernsten seiner Art auf der Welt. Um seine Seen wurde ein spannender und abwechslungsreicher Wanderweg angelegt. Auf einer Strecke von 14 bzw. 21 Kilometern erwandert der Interessierte die beeindruckende Symbiose von Technik und Natur. Technische und natürliche Besonderheiten am Wegesrand werden erklärt. Besondere, von einem heimischen Künstler gestaltete Bänke und Sitzgruppen, geben dem Weg ein unverwechselbares Flair.

La technique moderne rencontre la nature sauvage romantique : dans l'isolement de vastes étendues forestières, le sentier circulaire serpente autour de l'imposante centrale de pompage dans le Haut Schwarzatal. Une randonnée autour de cet ouvrage gigantesque est une expérience absolue : ressentir la solitude de la forêt, écouter le bruissement des feuilles et le clapotis des vagues, sentir le parfum des prairies de montagne. Les particularités techniques et naturelles en bord de chemin sont expliquées. Des bancs et groupes de sièges particuliers, conçus par un artiste local, donnent au sentier un charme unique.
