Der Winterwanderweg beginnt am Wanderparkplatz, führt über den Campingplatz, durch den Tannenstrumpf, links Richtung Neustadt, an der nächsten Kreuzung rechts zur Hohen Tanne . Von der Hohen Tanne aus hat man eine herrliche Aussicht auf das Thüringer Schiefergebirge. Bei klarem Wetter erkennt man neben der Meuselbacher Kuppe den Fröbelturm. Wanderparktplatz Waldbaude (am Schwimmbad) über Campingplatz, Tannenstrumpf zu Hohen Tanne und auf gleichem Wege wieder zurück zum Parkplatz.
