Cette randonnée combine un tronçon typique du Rennsteig avec la zone source de la Schwarza. D'autres sentiers régionaux et supra-régionaux croisent ce chemin, par exemple E3, EB, Goldpfad et 6 Kuppensteig. En partant du parking, vous rejoignez le Rennsteig et prenez à droite en direction de Neuhaus/Blankenstein. Ça monte ! Bientôt se trouve à votre droite l'ancienne « ville libre de montagne » Steinheid. Cette commune a été fondée autrefois par des chercheurs d'or. Aujourd'hui, ce sont les milliers de boules étincelantes de Noël qui caractérisent économiquement le lieu. À gauche se trouve bientôt la pierre « Libre est le chemin de crête ». Ceux qui souhaitent en savoir plus peuvent utiliser « l’Expérience sonore Rennsteig ». Sous vos pieds, le sol devient clair - kaolin ! C’était la matière première des nombreuses verreries et fabriques de porcelaine. Après une courte descente, la « cabane de Steinheid » se trouve à votre droite. Le chemin remonte ensuite. À la « R-Sitzgruppe », quittez le chemin en hauteur et tournez à gauche. Un large chemin forestier sans pente calme votre rythme cardiaque. Il reste environ 500 m jusqu’à « Weidmannsheil ». Cette cabane de randonnée avec sa vue de rêve invite à une pause. Devant vous s’étend le lac de retenue Schwarzastausee et à l’horizon le Rennsteig déroule sa trajectoire vers Masserberg. À gauche, la montagne Bleßberg avec son antenne vous salue. Le parcours suit maintenant la signalisation « triangle rouge sur carré blanc ». L'entrée est à gauche, en dessous de la cabane. Vous descendez légèrement vers la source de la Schwarza et le lac de retenue Schwarzastausee. Au bout du barrage, tournez à droite et suivez le chemin pavé vers Scheibe-Alsbach. Juste au terrain de sport, le chemin tourne à gauche dans la vallée de Gläserstal. Vous traversez cette très belle vallée jusqu'à la fin. Là, le chemin rencontre une route goudronnée que vous suivez à gauche jusqu’à la lisière de la forêt. Vous rencontrez alors le « Goldpfad » que vous suivez pour retourner à Limbach. Une visite du glacier du village complète agréablement cette petite randonnée circulaire.

This hike connects a typical Rennsteig section with the source area of the Schwarza. Further regional and supraregional hiking trails intersect this route, e.g. E3, EB, Goldpfad and 6 Kuppensteig. From the parking lot, go to the Rennsteig and keep right towards Neuhaus/Blankenstein. It goes uphill! Soon, the old "Free Mining Town" Steinheid lies to your right. This community was once founded by gold prospectors. Today, thousands of shimmering Christmas ornaments give the place its economic character. Soon, the stone "Free is the ridge path" stands to your left. Anyone wanting to know more can use the "Rennsteig audio experience". Under your feet it’s now bright – kaolin! This was the raw material for the many glassworks and porcelain factories. After a short descent, the "Steinheider hut" lies to your right. The path climbs again. At the "R seating group" you leave the ridge path and turn left. A wide forest path without inclines lets your circulation calm down. It’s about 500 m now to "Weidmannsheil". The hiking hut with its dream view invites you to rest. In front of you stretches the Schwarzastausee and on the horizon, the Rennsteig runs towards Masserberg. To the left greets the Bleßberg with its transmission mast. The route now follows the sign "red triangle on white square". The entrance is on the left below the hut. Slightly downhill, you hike to the Schwarza spring and the Schwarzastausee. At the end of the dam, turn right and follow the paved path to Scheibe-Alsbach. Directly at the sports ground, the path turns left into the Gläser valley. You cross this very beautiful valley to the end. Here, the path meets a paved road. Follow it to the left to the forest edge. Now you meet the "Goldpfad" which you follow back to Limbach. A visit to the ice cream café in the village rounds off the small circular hike "tastefully".

Diese Wanderung verbindet einen typischen  Rennsteigabschnitt mit dem Quellgebiet der Schwarza.  Weitere regionale und überregionale Wanderwege tangiren diesen Weg zB. E3, EB, Goldpfad und 6 Kuppensteig. Vom Parkplatz kommend gehen Sie zum Rennsteig und halten sich rechts in Richtung Neuhaus/ Blankenstein. Es geht bergauf! Bald liegt die alte „Freie Bergstadt“ Steinheid rechts von Ihnen. Diese Gemeinde wurde einst von Goldgräbern gegründet. Heute geben die tausendfach schillernden Christbaumkugeln dem Ort das wirtschaftliche Gepräge. Bald steht links von Ihnen der Stein “Frei ist der Kammweg“. Wer mehr darüber wissen möchte nutzt des „Hörerlebnis Rennsteig“. Unter den Schuhen wird es jetzt hell – Kaolin! Das war der Rohstoff für die zahlreichen Glashütten und Porzellanfabriken. Nach einem kurzen Abstieg liegt die „Steinheider Hütte“ rechts von Ihnen. Erneut steigt der Weg an. An der „R-Sitzgruppe“ verlassen Sie den Höhenweg und biegen nach links. Ein breiter Forstweg ohne Steigung, lässt den Kreislauf ruhiger werden. Ca 500 m sind es jetzt bis zum „Weidmannsheil“. Die Wanderhütte mit ihrem Traumausblick läd zur Rast ein. Vor Ihnen erstreckt sich der Schwarzastausee und am Horizont zieht der Rennsteig seine Bahn nach Masserberg. Links grüßt der Bleßberg mit seinem Sendemast. Die Tour folgt jetzt der Ausschilderung "rotes Dreieck auf weißem Quadrat". Der Einstieg ist links unterhalb der Hütte. Leicht bergab wandern Sie zur Schwarzaquelle und zum Schwarzastausee. Am Ende der Staumauer biegen Sie rechts ab und folgen dem befestigten Weg nach Scheibe-Alsbach. Direkt am Sportplatz biegt der Weg nach links in das Gläserstal. Dieses sehr schöne Tal durchqueren Sie bis zum Ende. Hier trifft der Weg auf eine Teerstraße. Ihr folgen Sie nach links bis zum Waldrand. Jetzt treffen Sie auf den "Goldpfad" dem Sie zurück nach Limbach folgen. Ein Besuch des Eiscafés im Ort rundet die kleine Rundwanderung "geschmackvoll" ab.
