Vom Ski- und Wandergebiet Knüllfeld oberhalb der Stadt Steinbach-Hallenberg führt Sie der Weg durch eine herrliche Naturschutzwiese mit seltenen Orchideenarten (Ganswiese) in Richtung Steinhauk und weiter zum Ruppberg. Vorbei an der Schutzhütte und der Sitzgarnitur am Rupprasen geht es geradeaus den Weg über die Wiese hoch zum Ruppberg. Der Aufstieg zum beliebten Ruppberg ist auf jedenFall lohnenswert. Die Ruppberghütte bietet bei wunderbarer Aussicht eine ideale Einkehrmöglichkeit (Mai - Oktober an den Wochenenden). Wieder zurück an der Abzweigung geht es auf dem Rundweg erst links dann rechts herum zum Braukopfstein. Von hier genießt man einen schönen Blick Richtung Zella-Mehlis. Weiter Richtung Knüllfeld ist ein Abstecher um den Steinhauk mit Erfrischung am Kalten Brunnen lohnenswert.

Depuis la zone de ski et randonnée de Knüllfeld, au-dessus de la ville de Steinbach-Hallenberg, le chemin traverse une magnifique prairie protégée avec des orchidées rares (Ganswiese) en direction de Steinhauk puis du Ruppberg. En passant par l'abri et le banc au Rupprasen, le chemin monte droit à travers la prairie vers le Ruppberg. La montée vers l'apprécié Ruppberg vaut absolument le coup. La cabane Ruppberghütte offre, avec une vue magnifique, une halte idéale (mai - octobre les week-ends). De retour à l'embranchement, le parcours fait d'abord un détour à gauche, puis à droite vers le Braukopfstein. De là, on profite d'une belle vue vers Zella-Mehlis. En continuant vers Knüllfeld, une incursion autour de Steinhauk avec une pause rafraîchissement au Kalter Brunnen vaut la peine.

From the Knüllfeld ski and hiking area above the town of Steinbach-Hallenberg, the path leads you through a beautiful nature reserve meadow with rare orchid species (Ganswiese) toward Steinhauk and further to the Ruppberg. Passing the shelter and seating area at Rupprasen, the path goes straight over the meadow up to the Ruppberg. The ascent to the popular Ruppberg is definitely worthwhile. The Ruppberghütte offers an ideal place to rest with wonderful views (May to October on weekends). Returning to the junction, the circular route goes first left and then right around to Braukopfstein. From here, enjoy a nice view toward Zella-Mehlis. Continuing toward Knüllfeld, a detour around Steinhauk with refreshment at Kalter Brunnen is worth it.
