Diese 10,1 Kilometer lange Extratour führt durch das Herz der Schwarzen Berge, hinauf auf aussichtsreiche Höhen, durch alte Buchenwälder und vorbei an stillen Quelllandschaften. Ausgangspunkt ist der Wanderparkplatz bei Platz. Schon der erste Abschnitt führt sanft durch weite Wiesen und lässt uns tief durchatmen. Dann steigt der Weg an, hinauf zur Platzer Kuppe. Der Gipfel mit Kreuz, Sitzgruppe und fantastischem Weitblick ist ein echtes Rhöner Kleinod. An klaren Tagen reicht der Blick bis in den Spessart und zur Frankenwarte bei Würzburg. Nach dem Gipfelglück geht es weiter durch lichten Mischwald und Fichtenhaine zum Würzburger Karl-Straub-Haus – eine urige Rhönklubhütte, wo du regionale Köstlichkeiten mit Aussicht auf die Dammersfeldkuppe genießen kannst. Der Rückweg führt uns steiler talwärts zur Thulbaquelle, eingebettet in eine der artenreichsten Wiesenlandschaften der Rhön, und schließlich über die offene Flur zurück nach Platz.

Cette Extratour de 10,1 kilomètres traverse le cœur des Schwarzen Berge, monte vers des hauteurs panoramiques, à travers d'anciennes forêts de hêtres et longe des sources paisibles. Le point de départ est le parking de randonnée près de Platz. Le premier tronçon traverse doucement de vastes prairies, offrant une respiration profonde. Ensuite, le chemin monte vers la Platzer Kuppe. Le sommet, avec sa croix, son banc et sa vue fantastique, est un véritable joyau de la Rhön. Par temps clair, on aperçoit le Spessart et la Frankenwarte près de Würzburg. Après ce moment de bonheur au sommet, on continue à travers la forêt mixte claire et les plantations d'épicéas vers la maison Karl-Straub de Würzburg – une cabane typique du club Rhön où tu peux déguster des spécialités régionales avec vue sur la Dammersfeldkuppe. Le chemin du retour descend plus raide vers la source Thulba, nichée dans l'une des prairies les plus riches en espèces de la Rhön, puis revient à travers la plaine ouverte vers Platz.

This 10.1-kilometer-long Extratour leads through the heart of the Schwarzen Berge, up to scenic heights, through old beech forests and past quiet spring landscapes. The starting point is the hiking car park at Platz. The first section gently leads through wide meadows, allowing us to breathe deeply. Then the path ascends to the Platzer Kuppe. The summit with cross, seating area and fantastic panoramic view is a real Rhön gem. On clear days, the view extends to the Spessart and the Frankenwarte near Würzburg. After the summit joy, the route continues through light mixed forest and spruce groves to the Würzburger Karl-Straub-Haus – a rustic Rhön club hut where you can enjoy regional delicacies with a view of the Dammersfeldkuppe. The return path leads us steeper downhill to the Thulba spring, embedded in one of the richest meadow landscapes of the Rhön, and finally back over the open fields to Platz.
