At the edge of town of Poppenhausen (Wasserkuppe) at the Dürrmühle, we begin our hike with the symbol of the black framed triangle. This leads us right towards Hohensteg. We follow the path about 300 meters further, then right onto the hiking trail through the Schöpfersbach valley towards Mittelberg. After crossing the main road, the trail goes along a hollow path through the forest. We continue on a paved path with a wonderful view into the valley towards Fulda and the Steinwand. You are welcome to make a detour to Teufelstein, which lies to the right of the path. We continue towards Grabenhöfchen and then towards Milseburg, over the "Sandplatten." On the edge of the path is the "Bubenbader Stein," a basalt elevation, and directly below it the "Bubenbad," a small pond. At the height, we can already see our destination, the Milseburg with the Gangolf chapel.

À la périphérie de Poppenhausen (Wasserkuppe) à la Dürrmühle, nous commençons notre randonnée avec le symbole du triangle noir encadré. Cela nous conduit à droite vers Hohensteg. Nous suivons le chemin environ 300 mètres, puis tournons à droite sur le sentier de randonnée à travers le Schöpfersbach en direction de Mittelberg. Après avoir traversé la route principale, le sentier passe par un chemin creux à travers la forêt. Sur une route goudronnée, nous continuons avec une magnifique vue sur la vallée vers Fulda et la Steinwand. On peut volontiers faire un détour jusqu'au Teufelstein, qui se trouve à droite du chemin. Nous continuons ensuite vers Grabenhöfchen puis vers la Milseburg, via les "Sandplatten". Au bord du chemin se trouve le "Bubenbader Stein", une butte de basalte, et juste en dessous, le "Bubenbad", un petit étang. En hauteur, nous apercevons déjà notre destination, la Milseburg avec la chapelle Gangolf.

Am Ortsrand von Poppenhausen (Wasserkuppe) an der Dürrmühle beginnen wir unsere Wanderung, mit dem Symbol des schwarzen umrahmten Dreiecks. Dieses führt uns rechts Richtung Hohensteg,  Wir folgen dem Weg ca. 300 weiter, dann rechts auf den Wanderweg durch die Schöpfersbach, Richtung Mittelberg. Nach Überquerung der Hauptstraße, geht der Wanderweg auf einem Hohlweg durch den Wald. Auf geteertem Weg gehen wir weiter, mit herrlichem Ausblick in das Tal Richtung Fulda und auf die Steinwand. Gerne kann man einen Abstecher an den Teufelstein machen, der rechts des Weges liegt. Wir gehen weiter Richung Grabenhöfchen und dann Richtung  Milseburg, über die "Sandplatten".  Am Wegesrand ist der "Bubenbader Stein" eine Basalterhebung und direkt unterhalb das "Bubenbad", ein kleiner Teich. Auf der Höhe sehen wir bereits unser Ziel, die Milseburg mit der Gangolfskapelle.

thuecat:gettingThere @de Die Anreise mit dem Auto ist über die A7 und die A66 möglich. Die A7 verlässt man über die Ausfahrt 92 Fulda-Mitte und fährt auf die B458 in Richtung Hilders auf. Auf Höhe des kleinen Ortes Steinwand biegt man rechts in Richtung Poppenhausen (Wasserkuppe) ab und erreicht kurz später das Ortszentrum. Die A66 verlässt man über die Ausfahrt 54 Eichenzell und fährt anschließend auf die L3307 in Richtung Rönshausen / Poppenhausen auf. In Weyhers biegt man rechts auf die Fuldaer Straße und bei dem Ortsausgang wieder links in die Straße Lüttertal (L3307). Auf dieser erreicht man Poppenhausen. In Poppenhausen biegt man links auf die Burgstraße ab.

At the small village of Steinwand, turn right towards Poppenhausen (Wasserkuppe) and shortly afterwards reach the town center. Am Teich riss der Mann der Magd das Kind aus der Hand. Es war zu einem Jungen geworden. Seitdem heißt der Teich "Bubenbad" und der Felsen "Bubenbader Stein".
