Die mehr als 800-Jährige Geschichte des Schloss Aschachs ist Geprägt von Wandel und Erneuerung. Die architektonischen Elemente erzählen die ereignisreiche Geschichte vom Mittelalter und der Herrschaft der Grafen von Henneberg, über die Nutzung der Schloss- und Parkanlage als Steingutmanufaktur, zur Renovierung und Umbau als Sommersitz der gräflichen Familie von Luxburg im 19. Jahrhundert, bis zur Eröffnung als Museum 1955. Für die Teilnahme an der Führung ist nur der Museumseintritt zu entrichten. The more than 800-year history of Aschach Castle is marked by change and renewal. Its architectural elements tell the eventful story of its history—from the Middle Ages and the rule of the Counts of Henneberg, through its use as a stoneware factory, to its renovation and conversion into a summer residence for the Counts of Luxburg in the 19th century, and finally to its opening as a museum in 1955.
