Der Rundweg verläuft durch drei gänzlich unterschiedliche Naturschutzgebiete, welche für die Rhön jeweils sehr typische Lebensräume darstellen. Ausgehend von naturnahen Laubwäldern am Gangolfsberg wandert man zu den Bachauen der Els mit ausgedehnten Wiesen und gelangt schlussendlich zu den großflächigen Kalkmagerrasen am Dünsberg. Dieser bietet einen außergewöhlichen Blick auf den Kreuzberg und das Rhönvorland. Der "Gänsebrunnen" mit Teich und Sitzgruppe bietet hier eine Möglichkeit zur Rast.

Le parcours circulaire traverse trois zones naturelles protégées très différentes, représentant chacune des habitats typiques de la Rhön. En partant des forêts feuillues proches de la nature du Gangolfsberg, on marche vers les prairies alluviales des Els avec de vastes prairies et atteint enfin les grandes pelouses calcaires maigres du Dünsberg. Ce site offre une vue exceptionnelle sur le Kreuzberg et le plateau de la Rhön. La "Gänsebrunnen" avec étang et groupe de sièges offre un lieu de repos.

The circular route passes through three completely different nature reserves, which each represent very typical habitats for the Rhön. Starting from near-natural deciduous forests on the Gangolfsberg, one walks to the floodplains of the Els with extensive meadows and finally reaches the large calcareous dry grasslands on the Dünsberg. This offers an exceptional view of the Kreuzberg and the Rhön foreland. The "Gänsebrunnen" with pond and seating area offers a place to rest here.
