Die Wanderung startet am Ortseingang von Ochsenthal. Der Weg verlässt die Ochsenthaler Straße bergab in Richtung Morlesau. Der Wanderweg führt bei Morlesau an den Überresten der Ruine Arnstein und am Sportplatz vorbei durch den Wald. Am Ausgang biegt der Weg nach rechts ab und führt über Felder bergaufwärts zum Waldgebiet „Hohes Haupt“ und schließlich weiter durch das Naturschutzgebiet "Sodenberg Gans". In unmittelbarer Nähe der Wanderroute befindet sich das sagenumwobene Giselakreuz. Ein Abstecher dorthin lohnt sich! Weiter geht es zur Rhönklub-Gedenkstätte (mit fantastischem Ausblick ins Tal). Zuletzt wandert man auf einem waldreichen Pfad steil bergab zurück nach Ochsenthal.

La randonnée commence à l'entrée du village d'Ochsenthal. Le chemin quitte la rue d'Ochsenthal en descendant vers Morlesau. Le sentier passe près des ruines d'Arnstein à Morlesau et longe le terrain de sport à travers la forêt. À la sortie, il tourne à droite et mène à travers les champs en montée vers la zone forestière "Hohes Haupt" puis continue à travers la réserve naturelle "Sodenberg Gans". Tout près du parcours de randonnée se trouve la mystérieuse croix de Gisèle. Un détour en vaut la peine ! La balade continue ensuite vers le mémorial du Rhönklub (avec une vue fantastique sur la vallée). Enfin, on descend raide par un sentier boisé pour revenir à Ochsenthal.

The hike starts at the entrance to Ochsenthal. The path leaves Ochsenthaler Straße downhill towards Morlesau. The hiking trail leads past the remains of Arnstein castle and past the sports field through the forest near Morlesau. At the exit, the path turns right and leads uphill over fields to the forest area "Hohes Haupt" and finally further through the "Sodenberg Gans" nature reserve. Near the hiking route is the legendary Gisela Cross. A detour there is worthwhile! Next is the Rhönklub memorial (with fantastic views of the valley). Finally, you hike steeply downhill back to Ochsenthal on a wooded path.
