Es empfiehlt sich, den Rundwanderweg um den Berg "Dürre Fichte" am Parkplatz für die Tubinganlage (Ortsaus- / -eingang Siegmundsburg in Höhe Abzweig Friedrichshöhe) zu beginnen. Von hier erwartet den Skifahrer der erste Anstieg von etwa 150 Metern, der auch gleichzeitig der steilste ist. Nach 700 m erreicht man die Schutzhütte "Hirtenruh". Hier rastete einst der Hirte, der die Kühe der Siegmundsburger zur Waldweide austrieb. Fortan verläuft der Skiwanderweg recht abwechslungsreich. Langen sanften Abfahrten folgen leichte Anstiege. Die gesamte Strecke lässt sich auch von Anfängern gut bewältigen. In der Nähe des Friedhofs verlässt der Weg den Wald und verläuft an seinem Rand ca. 600 m bis zum Ausgangspunkt. Von hier oben hat man einen schönen Ausblick auf den Ortsteil Siegmundsburg. Außerdem findet man vom Skiwanderweg aus den direkten Einstieg zum Skilift sowie der Snow-und Sommer-Tubinganlage.

Il est recommandé de commencer le parcours circulaire autour de la montagne "Dürre Fichte" au parking de l'installation de tubing (entrée/sortie du village de Siegmundsburg au niveau du carrefour Friedrichshöhe). À partir d'ici, le skieur s'attend à la première montée d'environ 150 mètres, qui est aussi la plus raide. Après 700 m, on atteint l'abri "Hirtenruh". Autrefois, le berger qui conduisait les vaches de Siegmundsburg au pâturage forestier s'y reposait. Le chemin de ski de randonnée continue désormais de manière assez variée. De longues descentes douces alternent avec de légères montées. L'ensemble du parcours peut aussi être bien maîtrisé par les débutants. Près du cimetière, le chemin quitte la forêt et longe sa lisière sur environ 600 m jusqu'au point de départ. De là-haut, on a une belle vue sur le quartier de Siegmundsburg. De plus, le chemin de ski de randonnée offre un accès direct au téléski ainsi qu'à l'installation de tubing d'hiver et d'été.

It is recommended to start the circular hiking trail around the "Dürre Fichte" mountain at the car park for the tubing facility (entrance/exit of Siegmundsburg near the Friedrichshöhe junction). From here, the skier faces the first ascent of about 150 meters, which is also the steepest. After 700 m, you reach the "Hirtenruh" shelter. Here once rested the shepherd who drove the cows of Siegmundsburgers to the forest pasture. Henceforth, the ski hiking trail is quite varied. Long gentle descents are followed by slight ascents.
