Die Wanderung ist reich an Sehenswertem. Sie überqueren die ehemalige deutsch-deutsche Grenze, die heutige hessisch-thüringische Grenze in das tausendjährige Herleshausen mit den schmucken Fachwerkhäusern, der katholische Dankesgrotte. Etwas versteckt im Wald finden Sie einen jüdischen Friedhof und die sowjetische Kriegsgräberstätte. Diese ist einem mutigen Bürgermeister Herleshausens zu verdanken. Sehenswert ist auch das Musum im Grenzbahnhof für Zeitgeschichte im Bahnhof von Herleshausen. Durch die ruhige Auenlandschaft der Werra-Bögen erreichen Sie bald wieder die malerische Lindenallee zurück nach Lauchröden und zum Parkplatz.  Einkehrmöglichkeiten sind in Herleshausen und Lauchröden vorhanden.

La randonnée regorge de points d'intérêt. Vous traversez l'ancienne frontière interallemande, la frontière actuelle entre la Hesse et la Thuringe jusqu'au millénaire village de Herleshausen avec ses jolies maisons à colombages et la grotte catholique de remerciements. Un peu caché dans la forêt, vous trouverez un cimetière juif et un cimetière de guerre soviétique. Celui-ci est dû au courage du maire de Herleshausen. Le musée dans la gare frontière pour l'histoire contemporaine à la gare de Herleshausen vaut aussi le détour. Par le paisible paysage alluvial des méandres de la Werra, vous revenez bientôt à la pittoresque allée des tilleuls vers Lauchröden et le parking. Des possibilités de restauration sont disponibles à Herleshausen et Lauchröden.

The hike is rich in sights. You cross the former inner-German border, now the Hesse-Thuringia border, into the thousand-year-old Herleshausen with its pretty half-timbered houses and the Catholic Thanksgiving Grotto. Somewhat hidden in the forest you find a Jewish cemetery and the Soviet war cemetery. This is thanks to a courageous mayor of Herleshausen. Also worth seeing is the museum in the border station for contemporary history at the Herleshausen station. Through the peaceful floodplain landscape of the Werra meanders, you soon return to the picturesque Lindenallee back to Lauchröden and the car park. There are places to eat in Herleshausen and Lauchröden.
