Am 5. Juli gestaltet der Reit- und Fahrverein Hohe Rhön Wendershausen einen spannenden Hobby-Horse-Tag im Freilandmuseum. Besucherinnen und Besucher sind herzlich eingeladen, sich auszuprobieren, ein eigenes Hobby-Horse zu basteln und beim Springturnier zuzusehen oder selbst teilzunehmen. Es erwarten Sie abwechslungsreiche Dressur- und Springaufführungen sowie Einblicke in die Pflege und Gewohnheiten rund ums Pferd. Freuen Sie sich auf einen vielseitigen Tag rund um Hobby Horsing! Außerdem im Programm Was kommt heute auf den Tisch? Von 11 bis 15 Uhr wird im Dreiseithof aus Leutershausen der Kochlöffel geschwungen und geschnippelt, geknetet und gekocht. Die Rezepte stammen aus historischen Kochbüchern der Rhön und auf den Tisch kommt nur, was es in den Museumsgärten zu finden gibt oder im Vorjahr eingemacht oder getrocknet wurde. Wer sehen will, was auf den Tisch kommt, der darf beim historischen Kochprogramm selbst mit anpacken! Die Köchinnen und Köche des Freilandmuseums zeigen, wie es geht und jeder darf mitkochen. Probiert wird zum Schluss natürlich auch. Backtag im Museum Wie das duftet! Im historischen Gemeindebackhaus aus Oberbernhards wird im Holzofen gebacken. Früh am Morgen wird der Backofen mit Reisig angeheizt, damit später knusprig frische Köstlichkeiten auf den Tisch kommen. Der Verkauf findet direkt am Backhaus statt. Die Backwaren erhalten Sie von ca. 11 bis 15 Uhr bzw. solange der Vorrat reicht. Museumsbahnfahrten im Dieselbetrieb Als besondere Anreisemöglichkeit nach Fladungen bietet sich am 5. Juli eine Fahrt mit der Museumsbahn Rhön-Zügle ab Mellrichstadt bzw. Ostheim v. d. Rhön an.
On July 5, the Hohe Rhön Wendershausen Riding and Driving Club is hosting an exciting Hobby Horse Day at the open-air museum. Visitors are cordially invited to try their hand at making their own hobby horse and to watch—or even participate in—the show jumping competition. You can look forward to a variety of dressage and show jumping performances, as well as insights into horse care and behavior. Look forward to a fun-filled day dedicated to hobby horsing!Also on the programWhat’s on the menu today?From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Dreiseithof from Leutershausen will be a hive of activity as cooks stir, chop, knead, and cook. The recipes come from historical cookbooks of the Rhön region, and the menu features only ingredients found in the museum gardens or preserved and dried the previous year. If you want to see what’s on the menu, you’re welcome to pitch in during the historical cooking program! The cooks at the open-air museum will show you how it’s done, and everyone is welcome to join in. Of course, there will be a tasting at the end.Baking Day at the MuseumWhat a wonderful smell! Baking takes place in the wood-fired oven at the historic community bakehouse in Oberbernhards. Early in the morning, the oven is stoked with brushwood so that crispy, fresh delicacies can be served later. Sales take place right at the bakehouse. Baked goods are available from approximately 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or while supplies last.Museum Train Rides Powered by DieselAs a special way to travel to Fladungen, a ride on the Rhön-Zügle museum train from Mellrichstadt or Ostheim v. d.
