Diese Route gehört zu unserer Serie Schmalkalder Biketouren und zeigt Eindrucksvoll welche Fahrrad-Romanzen der Thüringer Wald mit Ausgangspunkt Schmalkalden parat hält. Auf den Beschilderten Radweg "Stiller Grund" geht es über die Wuhlheide den Osthang des Dolmar hinauf. Zurück über Metzels und der Oberwallbachsmühle erreichen wir Schmalkalden wieder über die Herrenkuppe.

Vergesst nicht eine Einkehr ins Charlottenhaus einzuplanen, regionale Speisen und selbst gemachten Kuchen. (Kleiner Geheimtipp: Am Nordhang des Dolmar gibt es im Frühjahr leckeren Bärlauch) Einkehr in die Oberwallbachsmühle als kurze Stärkung vor den letzten Anstieg ist immer zu empfehlen. Gut einen Kilometer nach der Mühle kommt auf der rechten Seite ein kleiner Teich. Hier am Karl-Heinz-Schädel-Denkmal ist ein kleiner Rastplatz bevor es den letzten Anstieg hinauf geht.

Environ un kilomètre après le moulin, sur la droite, se trouve un petit étang. Ici, au mémorial Karl-Heinz-Schädel est un petit espace de repos avant la dernière montée.
