Ce parcours circulaire à travers la forêt de Pöllwitz a été conçu en forme de huit avec deux anneaux presque de même taille.  La ligne de jonction passe sur environ 500 m près de l'église fortifiée de Pöllwitz à travers le village. Jusqu'en 1430, à la lisière de la forêt de Pöllwitz se trouvait un village prospère avec un château, des jardins florissants, des champs fertiles et des habitants travailleurs. Son nom « Ritzmannsgrün » est encore aujourd'hui mentionné par la population locale. L'endroit où il se trouvait est encore connu. Il a été détruit en une seule nuit par des hordes de guerre sauvages et rasé. Une nuit, il se passait quelque chose d’important dans le château. Au son des verres et des danses, on célébrait le mariage de la demoiselle du château. Mais à l'heure du coucher du village, quand les villageois dormaient profondément, l'ambiance festive du château fut soudain brisée par un bruit horrible et des cris d'aide venant du village. Les Hussites avaient envahi Ritzmannsgrün, tuant et pillant maison par maison jusqu'au château. Après un bref combat, la porte fut brisée, ses défenseurs tués, puis la troupe de guerre se précipita avec des cris sauvages dans les appartements du château. Dans la salle de mariage, ils tuèrent tout le monde, que ce soit ceux qui se défendaient ou ceux qui imploraient leur vie. Personne ne survécut. Ensuite, les guerriers s'assirent à la table richement dressée du banquet et se vantèrent bruyamment de leurs méfaits. Après avoir détruit toutes les pièces, ils mirent le feu au château et partirent lourdement chargés de butin. Aujourd'hui, le village et ses environs de Ritzmannsgrün sont une zone couverte de forêt et de bruyère, où l'on peut encore trouver des ruines. On dit que le village réapparaît tous les cent ans, comme lors cette nuit terrifiante. Les fenêtres du château brillent d'une lumière vive, des cris joyeux de mariage résonnent, et ceux qui restent près du château peuvent même voir les couples tournoyer dans la danse. Mais cette apparition fantomatique ne dure que quelques minutes avant qu'il ne redevienne calme et sombre à l'endroit où se trouvait autrefois le village disparu.

Dieser Rundweg durch den Pöllwitzer Wald wurde in Form einer Acht mit zwei fast gleichgroßen Ringen angelegt.  Die Schnittlinie verläuft auf ca. 500 m vorbei an der Wehrkirche in Pöllwitz durch den Ort. Bis zum Jahre 1430 lag am Rande des Pöllwitzer Waldes ein wohlhabendes Dorf mit einem Schloss, blühenden Gärten, fruchtbaren Feldern und fleißigen Bewohnern. Sein Name “Ritzmannsgrün” wird noch heute im Volk genannt. auch die Stelle, wo es einmal gestanden hat, kennt man noch. Es wurde in einer einzigen Nacht durch wilde Kriegshorden zerstört und dem Erdboden gleichgemacht.Eines Nachts ging es im Schloss hoch her. Bei Schmaus, Gläserklang und Tanz feierte man die Hochzeit des Schlossfräuleins. Um die mitternachtliche Stunde aber, als die Dorfleute im tiefen Schlaf lagen, wurde plötzlich die Feststimmung im schloss durch schreckliches Getöse und laute Hilferufe aus dem Dorf zerstört. Die Hussiten waren in Ritzmanngrü eingefallen, mordeten und brandschatzten Haus für Haus bis zum Schloss. Nach kurzem Kampf wurde das Tor zertrümmert, seine Verteidiger erschlagen und dann stürzte das Kriegsvolk mit wildem Geschrei in die Schlossräume. Im Hochzeitssaal erschlugen sie jeden, gleichviel, ob er sich verteidigte oder um schonung seines Lebens flehte. Niemand kam lebend davon. Dann setzten sich die Krieger an die reich gedeckte Hochzeitstafel und rühmten sich lauthals ihrer schandtaten. Als sie alle Räume verwüstet hatten, steckten sie das schloss in Brand und zogen reich mit Beute beladen davon. Heute sind Dorf und Flur Ritzmannsgrün eine mit Wald und Heidekraut bewachsene Fläche, auf der noch verfallenes Gemäuer zu finden ist. Man sagt, dass sich das Dorf alle hundert Jahre zeigt, wie in der einstigen Schreckensnacht. Die Fenster der Schlosses erstrahlen in hellem Licht, fröhlicher Hochzeitsjubel erschallt und wer in der Nähe des Schlosses verweilt, soll sogar die sich drehenden Tanzpaare beobachten können. Aber nur wenige Minuten währt die gespenstische Erscheinung, bevor es wieder still und dunkel wird an der Stätte, wo einst das verschwundene Dorf lag.

This circular route through the Pöllwitz forest was created in the shape of an eight with two almost equally sized loops.  The intersection runs about 500 m past the fortified church in Pöllwitz through the village. Until the year 1430, a prosperous village with a castle, blooming gardens, fertile fields, and hardworking inhabitants was located on the edge of the Pöllwitz forest. Its name "Ritzmannsgrün" is still spoken of by the locals today. The site where it once stood is also still known. It was destroyed and razed to the ground in a single night by wild bands of marauders. One night there was a big celebration at the castle. With feasting, clinking glasses, and dancing, the castle maiden’s wedding was celebrated. But at the stroke of midnight, while the villagers were deeply asleep, the festive mood in the castle was suddenly shattered by terrible noises and loud cries for help from the village. The Hussites had invaded Ritzmannsgrün, murdering and pillaging house by house up to the castle. After a short fight, the gate was broken down, its defenders killed, and then the warband stormed the castle rooms with wild shouting. In the wedding hall, they killed everyone, whether they defended themselves or pleaded for mercy. No one survived. Then the warriors sat down at the richly set wedding table and loudly boasted of their atrocities. After they had ransacked all the rooms, they set the castle on fire and left, richly laden with loot. Today, the village and land of Ritzmannsgrün is an area covered with forest and heath, where ruins can still be found. It is said that the village appears every hundred years, as on that dreadful night of old. The windows of the castle shine brightly, joyful wedding cheers are heard, and anyone near the castle may even see the dancing couples turning around. But the ghostly apparition lasts only a few minutes before it becomes quiet and dark again at the place where the vanished village once lay.
