Als Lehrpfad möchte er Wissen über Landschaft, Geologie, Flora und Fauna, Kultur und Geschichte vermitteln. Im Raum Oelsnitz, Pirk und Weischlitz gab es im 16. und 17. Jahrhundert fast 20 Bergwerke, darunter Kupfer- und Zinnzechen, Flussspatgruben oder Diabassteinbrüche. Im Huthaus - etwa auf der Hälfte der Wanderung gibt es einen schönen Aussichtspunkt. Hier versammelten sich die Bergleute. Der Hutmann hatte die Aufgabe, das Bergwerk zu behüten. Zwischen Huthaus und Schönbrunn gibt es auch eine direkte Verbindung, sodass hier die Tour angekürzt werden kann. Leider sind einige Hinweisschilder derzeit beschädigt oder fehlen. Eine Wanderung mit sachkundiger Führung ist empfehlenswert. Für den Rückweg empfiehlt sich die Fahrt mit der Vogtlandbahn ab Pirk zurück nach Oelsnitz.

Hinter dem Sportplatz rechts halten, um zum <strong>Huthaus</strong> zu gelangen.</p> <p>Die Lauterbacher Straße queren.  Nun erreichen wir das Gebiet Untertriebelbach.</p> <p>In <strong>Bösenbrunn</strong> angekommen, kommen wir am nördlichen Ortsausgang zum Brüder Einigkeit Stollen. Wir folgen dem Wanderweg in östlicher Richtung nach Schönbrunn (Einkehrmöglichkeit im Gasthof).  Wer hier zu Fuß nach Oelsnitz zurückkehren möchte, biegt ca. 100 m nach dem Dorfteich rechts in die Hauptstraße ein und gelangt so in Lauterbach wieder auf den Wanderweg.</p> <p>Ansonsten wandern wir nördlich über Planschwitz, Magwitz und Türbel nach Pirk. Hier können wir die Autobahnbrücke über die Weiße Elster bestaunen und uns in Judiths Brückenstübl stärken, bevor wir dann zum Bahnhof laufen und zurück nach Oelsnitz fahren.</p>
