Ausganspunkt der Wanderung ist der Parkplatz am "Harzklub-Freizeitgelände". Auf Wirtschafts- und Forstwegen mit tollen Ausblicken auf das Harzvorland und den Harz, ein kurzer Anstieg durch einen schönen Laub-Mischwald und einem kleinen Pfad führt die Wanderung zur Burgruine "Stauffenburg". Hier wird der Wanderere mit herrlichen Ausblicken in das Harzvorland belohnt. Weiter durch eine Laub-Mischwald kommen wir an der "Eichkampsborn-Quelle" und der Wanderhütte "Eichenhütte" vorbei. Abwärts führt der Weg, an der Harzklub-Streuobstwiese vorbei zum Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung. Im "Harzklub-Freizeitgelände" besteht die Möglichkeit die Wanderung ausklingen zu lassen (Geöffnet Sonntags von 12:00 bis 18:00 Uhr).

Le point de départ de la randonnée est le parking du "Harzklub-Freizeitgelände". Sur des chemins agricoles et forestiers offrant de superbes vues sur le plateau du Harz et le Harz, une courte montée à travers une belle forêt mixte de feuillus et un petit sentier mène à la ruine du château "Stauffenburg". Ici, les randonneurs sont récompensés par de magnifiques panoramas sur le plateau du Harz. Ensuite, à travers une forêt mixte de feuillus, on passe près de la source "Eichkampsborn" et de la cabane de randonnée "Eichenhütte". Le chemin descend ensuite, passant près du verger de pommes du Harzklub, pour revenir au point de départ de la randonnée. Au "Harzklub-Freizeitgelände", il est possible de terminer la randonnée agréablement (ouvert le dimanche de 12h00 à 18h00).

The starting point of the hike is the parking lot at the "Harzklub recreation area". On agricultural and forest paths with great views of the Harz foothills and the Harz, a short climb through a beautiful mixed deciduous forest and a small trail lead the hike to the castle ruins "Stauffenburg". Here the hiker is rewarded with magnificent views of the Harz foothills. Continuing through a mixed deciduous forest, we pass the "Eichkampsborn spring" and the hiking hut "Eichenhütte". The path leads downhill past the Harzklub meadow orchard back to the starting point of the hike. At the "Harzklub recreation area" there is the possibility to end the hike (open Sundays from 12:00 to 18:00).

Heute ist nur noch der Baumstumpf zu besichtigen. Ab dem 18. Jahrhundert begann der Verfall der Anlage.
