Die Tour startet in Richtung Obernitz, vorbei am Schokoladenwerk mit Werksverkauf und dem Nationalen Geoptop Bohlenwand. Es folgt ein knackiger Anstieg zum Pfaffenberg und über den Gleitsch weiter zur Teufelsbrücke, einem sehenswerten Natursteinbogen. Im Anschluss führt ein toller Singletrail oberhalb eines Steinbruchs zügig wieder zurück ins Tal. Entlang der Saale verläuft die Tour über den Saaletrail nach Reschwitz. Von hier aus geht es über den Saalfelder „Höhenweg“ in Richtung Gartenkuppen mit einem tollen Blick auf ganz Saalfeld weiter in Richtung Erlebniswelt Feengrotten. Hier lohnt sich eine Führung durch die farbenreichste Schaugrotte der Welt und eine Rast mit original Thüringer Bratwurst. Gestärkt geht es weiter durch ein Wohnviertel und über einen schmalen Feldweg in Richtung Spitzberg, auf diesem Abschnitt bieten sich erneut tolle Ausblicke auf Saalfeld. Nun folgt die Abfahrt in Richtung Saalfelder Zentrum. Als letztes Ziel der Tour erreicht man schließlich das Saalfelder Schloss und den Schlosspark. Entlang der Saale geht es schließlich wieder zurück zum Ausgangspunkt.

Le parcours commence en direction d’Obernitz, passant devant la chocolaterie avec vente d’usine et le géotope national Bohlenwand. Suit une montée raide vers le Pfaffenberg puis, via Gleitsch, jusqu’au pont du diable, un bel arc naturel en pierre. Ensuite, un superbe singletrail au-dessus d’une carrière ramène rapidement dans la vallée. Le parcours longe la Saale via le Saaletrail jusqu’à Reschwitz. De là, il suit le « Höhenweg » de Saalfeld en direction de Gartenkuppen avec une belle vue sur tout Saalfeld, puis continue vers Erlebniswelt Feengrotten. Une visite guidée de la plus colorée des grottes de visite au monde vaut le détour, ainsi qu’une pause avec une saucisse grillée typique de Thuringe. Revigoré, on continue à travers un quartier résidentiel et sur un petit chemin de campagne en direction de Spitzberg, où l’on peut à nouveau profiter de superbes vues sur Saalfeld. Suit la descente vers le centre de Saalfeld. Le dernier objectif de la sortie est enfin le château et parc du château de Saalfeld. Le parcours longe alors la Saale pour retourner au point de départ.

The route starts towards Obernitz, passing the chocolate factory with factory outlet and the National Geotope Bohlenwand. A steep climb follows to the Pfaffenberg and over the Gleitsch further to the Devil's Bridge, a stunning natural stone arch. Afterwards, a great singletrail above a quarry quickly returns back to the valley. Along the Saale, the route continues over the Saale trail to Reschwitz. From here, it goes over the Saalfeld “high path” towards Gartenkuppen with a great view of all of Saalfeld continuing toward the Feengrotten Experience World. Here a guided tour of the most colorful show grotto in the world and a break with traditional Thuringian sausage are worthwhile. Refreshed, the tour continues through a residential area and over a narrow field path towards Spitzberg, where there are again great views of Saalfeld. Now follows the descent towards the center of Saalfeld. The last destination of the tour is finally the Saalfeld Castle and the castle park. Along the Saale, the route finally leads back to the starting point.
