Der kleine Ort Plesten ist der Ausgangspunkt unserer Tour zum und um den Plestener Spitzberg. Die Berghänge, Wälder und Wiesen sind Lebensraum zahlreicher Pflanzen und Tiere. Der gemeinnützige Naturschutzverein Landesbund für Vogelschutz in Bayern e.V. (LBV) hat hier einige Wiesen für den Arten- und Biotopschutz angelegt. Direkt an den Wald angrenzend blühen hier im Frühjahr unter anderem Schlüsselblumen und Walderdbeeren, Zypressen-Wolfsmilch, Kreuzblümchen und verschiedene Kleearten. Auch Singvögel, Insekten und Reptilien sind auf dem Spitzberg in großer Zahl zu finden – also Augen auf bei der Wanderung. Der Wanderweg selbst führt vor allem durch den schönen Wald bei Plesten, zwischendurch geht es aber auch durch Felder und Wiesen und wir genießen den fantastischen Ausblick vom Gipfel sowie auf dem letzten Wegstück auf Plesten und die Felder in direkter Umgebung. Auch wenn die Tour nicht ganz so lang und der Aussichtspunkt am Anfang der Strecke liegt: Eine Rast ist hier nicht verkehrt, denn die wunderbare Ruhe auf dem Spitzberg darf man sich nicht entgehen lassen.

Le petit village de Plesten est le point de départ de notre parcours vers et autour du Plestener Spitzberg. Les flancs de la montagne, les forêts et les prairies sont l'habitat de nombreuses plantes et animaux. L’association à but non lucratif Landesbund für Vogelschutz in Bayern e.V. (LBV) a aménagé ici plusieurs prairies pour la protection des espèces et des biotopes. Directement adjacentes à la forêt, on trouve au printemps entre autres des primevères, des fraisiers des bois, l'euphorbe cyprès, l'herbe-aux-chats et différentes variétés de trèfles. De nombreux oiseaux chanteurs, insectes et reptiles peuplent également le Spitzberg — soyez donc attentifs lors de la randonnée. Le sentier de randonnée traverse principalement la belle forêt près de Plesten, mais parfois aussi des champs et des prairies, et nous profitons de la vue fantastique depuis le sommet ainsi que sur le dernier tronçon du chemin sur Plesten et les champs alentours. Même si le parcours n’est pas très long et que le point de vue se trouve au début du tracé, une pause est bienvenue, car la merveilleuse tranquillité sur le Spitzberg ne doit pas être manquée.

The small village of Plesten is the starting point of our route to and around the Plestener Spitzberg. The mountain slopes, forests, and meadows are habitats for numerous plants and animals. The non-profit conservation association Landesbund für Vogelschutz in Bayern e.V. (LBV) has established some meadows here for species and biotope protection. Adjacent to the forest, in springtime, among others, primroses and wild strawberries, cypress spurge, bittercress, and various clover species bloom here. Also, songbirds, insects, and reptiles are found in large numbers on the Spitzberg – so keep your eyes open during the hike. The hiking trail mainly leads through the beautiful forest near Plesten, but occasionally also through fields and meadows, and we enjoy the fantastic view from the summit as well as on the last stretch of the path over Plesten and the fields in the immediate vicinity. Even though the route is not very long and the viewpoint is at the beginning of the route: a rest here is not wrong, as you should not miss the wonderful peace on the Spitzberg.

thuecat:directions @de Wir starten unsere Tour etwas oberhalb des Spielplatzes in Plesten, gehen nur ein kurzes Stück bergauf und nehmen dann die Abzweigung zum Plestener Spitzberg. Der Anstieg ist durchaus steil und wir müssen uns etwas durch die zugewucherten Wege kämpfen. Auf dem Gipfel erwartet uns eine hochgewachsene Wiese, in der es nur so summt und wimmelt. Wir durchqueren die Wiese und gelangen zu einem Infoschild über das FFH-Gebiet „Bruchschollenkuppen im Landkreis Coburg“. Hier weist uns auch der Wegweiser zur Aussichtsbank. Wir folgen dem Weg und machen eine kleine Rast bei bester Aussicht. Dann geht es zurück zur Wiese und wir steigen auf demselben Weg, auf dem wir gekommen sind, wieder bergab. Einen Wegweiser, der in die andere Richtung vom Berg hinab weist, ignorieren wir. Wieder an der Kreuzung unten angekommen, wenden wir uns nach links und wandern durch den Wald in südliche Richtung. Bald verlassen wir den Wald wieder und gelangen über ein Feld zu einer asphaltierten Straße. Unser Blick fällt auf die Felder und Windräder, die wir bereits von der Aussichtsbank gesehen haben. Wir biegen an der Straße links ab und folgen ihr eine Weile zwischen den Feldern entlang und dann wieder in den Wald hinein. Schließlich biegen wir nach links in einen Waldpfad ein und wandern nun wieder in nördliche Richtung. Für eine ganze Weile durchqueren wir nun den Wald und bewegen uns dabei auf Forstwegen sowie kleinen, teils zugewucherten Pfaden. Wir erreichen wieder eine Forststraße, folgen dieser weiter nach Norden und biegen dann nach links auf eine andere Forststraße ab. Diese führt uns in einem Bogen wieder in nördliche Richtung und wird bald zu einem schmaleren Waldweg. Dann geht es wieder links auf eine Schotterstraße, kurz darauf aber wieder nach rechts in einen kleinen Pfad. Dieser ist ziemlich zugewachsen, sodass wir uns etwas durchkämpfen müssen. Nach einer Linkskurve erreichen wir wieder eine Forststraße und folgen dieser aus dem Wald heraus. Dann biegen wir links ab und laufen nun zwischen den Feldern entlang zurück nach Plesten. Dabei haben wir bereits einen schönen Blick auf den Ort sowie über die Umgebung. Schließlich erreichen wir die ersten Häuser des Ortes, folgen der Straße und biegen wieder links ab und steigen das letzte Stück bis zu unserem Ausgangspunkt hinauf.

La montée est assez raide et il faut un peu lutter contre les chemins envahis par la végétation. Au sommet, nous trouvons une prairie haute où ça bourdonne et grouille. Nous traversons la prairie et arrivons à un panneau d’information sur la zone FFH « Bruchschollenkuppen dans le district de Cobourg ». Un panneau indique aussi le chemin vers le banc d’observation. Nous suivons le chemin et faisons une petite pause avec une superbe vue. Ensuite, nous retournons à la prairie et descendons par le même chemin que celui de la montée. Nous ignorons un panneau indiquant un chemin descendant de l’autre côté de la montagne. De retour à la bifurcation en bas, nous prenons à gauche et marchons à travers la forêt en direction sud. Bientôt, nous quittons à nouveau la forêt et arrivons sur un champ avant de rejoindre une route asphaltée. Notre regard se pose sur les champs et les éoliennes déjà aperçus depuis le banc d’observation. Nous tournons à gauche sur la route et la suivons un moment entre les champs, puis replongeons dans la forêt. Finalement, nous tournons à gauche sur un chemin forestier et repartons vers le nord. Nous traversons maintenant la forêt pendant un bon moment en évoluant sur des chemins forestiers ainsi que sur de petits sentiers, parfois envahis. Nous atteignons à nouveau une route forestière, la suivons vers le nord et tournons à gauche sur une autre route forestière. Cette dernière nous ramène en arc de cercle vers le nord et devient bientôt un sentier forestier plus étroit. Ensuite, nous prenons encore à gauche sur une route de gravier, puis rapidement à droite sur un petit sentier. Ce dernier est assez envahi, il faut donc un peu lutter. Après un virage à gauche, nous atteignons à nouveau une route forestière et la suivons hors de la forêt. Ensuite, nous tournons à gauche et marchons entre les champs sur le chemin du retour vers Plesten. Nous avons déjà une belle vue sur le village ainsi que sur les environs. Finalement, nous atteignons les premières maisons du village, suivons la route, tournons encore à gauche et montons la dernière portion jusqu’à notre point de départ.

For quite some time, we now cross the forest moving on forest roads as well as small, partly overgrown paths. We reach a forest road again, follow it further north, and then turn left onto another forest road. This leads us in a curve back northwards and soon becomes a narrower forest path. Then we turn left again onto a gravel road, but shortly afterward again right onto a small path. This one is quite overgrown, so we have to struggle a bit. After a left turn, we reach a forest road again and follow it out of the forest. Then we turn left and now walk back to Plesten between the fields. Along the way, we already have a beautiful view of the village as well as over the surroundings. Finally, we reach the first houses of the village, follow the road, turn left again, and climb the last section back to our starting point.

Wir folgen dem Weg und machen eine kleine Rast bei bester Aussicht.</p> <p>Dann geht es zurück zur Wiese und wir steigen auf demselben Weg, auf dem wir gekommen sind, wieder bergab. Einen Wegweiser, der in die andere Richtung vom Berg hinab weist, ignorieren wir. Wieder an der Kreuzung unten angekommen, wenden wir uns nach links und wandern durch den Wald in südliche Richtung. Bald verlassen wir den Wald wieder und gelangen über ein Feld zu einer asphaltierten Straße. Unser Blick fällt auf die Felder und Windräder, die wir bereits von der Aussichtsbank gesehen haben.</p> <p>Wir biegen an der Straße links ab und folgen ihr eine Weile zwischen den Feldern entlang und dann wieder in den Wald hinein. Schließlich biegen wir nach links in einen Waldpfad ein und wandern nun wieder in nördliche Richtung. Für eine ganze Weile durchqueren wir nun den Wald und bewegen uns dabei auf Forstwegen sowie kleinen, teils zugewucherten Pfaden. Wir erreichen wieder eine Forststraße, folgen dieser weiter nach Norden und biegen dann nach links auf eine andere Forststraße ab.</p> <p>Diese führt uns in einem Bogen wieder in nördliche Richtung und wird bald zu einem schmaleren Waldweg. Dann geht es wieder links auf eine Schotterstraße, kurz darauf aber wieder nach rechts in einen kleinen Pfad. Dieser ist ziemlich zugewachsen, sodass wir uns etwas durchkämpfen müssen. Nach einer Linkskurve erreichen wir wieder eine Forststraße und folgen dieser aus dem Wald heraus.</p> <p>Dann biegen wir links ab und laufen nun zwischen den Feldern entlang zurück nach Plesten. Dabei haben wir bereits einen schönen Blick auf den Ort sowie über die Umgebung. Schließlich erreichen wir die ersten Häuser des Ortes, folgen der Straße und biegen wieder links ab und steigen das letzte Stück bis zu unserem Ausgangspunkt hinauf.</p>

Finalement, nous tournons à gauche sur un chemin forestier et repartons vers le nord.
