Der Steinlegendenweg in der Gemeinde Großheirath vereint als Themenweg zeitgenössische Kunst und Heimatgeschichte. Die Skulpturen entlang der Strecke, alle vom Künstler Peter Plentz geschaffen, sollen vor allem die kleinen Wanderer ansprechen und auf die Wege locken. Sie stellen Figuren aus der heimischen Sagenwelt dar und können somit zugleich Geschichten erzählen. Zudem finden sich entlang des Steinlegendenweges Informationstafeln zu verschiedenen Themen wie den historischen Grenzsteinen, dem Gerichtsplatz auf dem Thiereller, der Watzendorfer Madonna und den ehemaligen Wüstungen der Gemeinde. Auch Punkte anderer Wanderwege befinden sich auf der erlebnisreichen Strecke, so passieren wir die Skulptur 7 des Pilgerweges Vierzehnheiligen. Der Steinlegendenweg führt hauptsächlich durch die Wiesen und Felder der Gemeinde, es werden aber auch Waldstücke durchquert sowie die beiden Orte Buchenrod und Neuses an den Eichen. Unterwegs bieten sich mehrere Rastplätze und Bänke für eine Pause an und besonders an den Skulpturen und Schautafeln sollte man länger verweilen, um den Gedanken des Weges in seiner Vollständigkeit zu erfassen.

Le sentier des légendes de pierre dans la commune de Großheirath combine en tant que parcours thématique l'art contemporain et l'histoire locale. Les sculptures le long du parcours, toutes créées par l'artiste Peter Plentz, sont principalement destinées à attirer les petits randonneurs sur les sentiers. Elles représentent des figures issues du monde légendaire local et peuvent ainsi raconter des histoires. En outre, on trouve le long du sentier des panneaux d'information sur divers sujets tels que les pierres frontalières historiques, la place du tribunal sur le Thiereller, la Vierge de Watzendorf et les anciennes dévastations de la commune. Des points d'autres sentiers de randonnée se trouvent également sur ce parcours riche en expériences, nous passons ainsi la sculpture 7 du chemin de pèlerinage Vierzehnheiligen. Le sentier des légendes de pierre traverse principalement les prairies et les champs de la commune, mais aussi des bois et les deux villages de Buchenrod et Neuses an den Eichen. En chemin, plusieurs aires de repos et bancs invitent à une pause et il convient de s'attarder particulièrement aux sculptures et panneaux d'exposition pour saisir pleinement l'esprit du parcours.

The Stone Legends Path in the municipality of Großeirath combines contemporary art and local history as a themed route. The sculptures along the route, all created by the artist Peter Plentz, are mainly intended to attract young hikers and lure them onto the paths. They depict figures from the local legend world and can thus also tell stories. In addition, there are information boards along the Stone Legends Path on various topics such as the historic boundary stones, the courthouse area on the Thiereller, the Watzendorf Madonna, and the former deserted villages of the municipality. There are also points of other hiking trails on this adventurous route, like sculpture 7 of the Pilgrim's Path Vierzehnheiligen. The Stone Legends Path mainly leads through the meadows and fields of the municipality, but also crosses wooded areas as well as the two villages Buchenrod and Neuses an den Eichen. Along the way, there are several rest areas and benches for a break, and you should linger especially at the sculptures and information boards to fully absorb the meaning of the route.
