Der Finne-Wanderwegs am Nordrand des Thüringer Beckens verläuft entlang einer sehr abwechslungsreichen Waldrandzone. Prägend für die milde Südhanglage sind Wildkräuter-Trockenrasen, Orchideen-Wiesen und Streuobstflächen. Die hier zahlreich vorkommenden Gottesanbeterinnen sind ein Marker für eine intakte Natur mit mediterranem Charakter. Viele Sonnenstunden und die geringe Niederschlagsneigung sorgen für einen Pflanzenbewuchs, wie er sonst nur in osteuropäischen Steppenregionen vorzufinden ist.  Die gesamte Etappe ist abwechslungsreich und landschaftlich sehr reizvoll. Entlang der Waldrandlage bieten sich bildschöne Ausblicke über das Thüringer Becken hinaus bis zum Thüriunger Wald. Zu beachten ist, dass aufgrund Baumschäden teilweise mit örtlichen Umleitungen zu rechnen ist. In Burgwenden und Rastenberg erwartet Sie bevorzugt an den Wochenenden gastronomischer Betrieb.

Le sentier Finne, situé à la bordure nord du bassin de Thuringe, longe une zone de lisière forestière très variée. Caractéristique de la pente sud douce sont des prairies sèches d'herbes sauvages, des prés d'orchidées et des vergers extensifs. Les nombreuses mante religieuses présentes sont un indicateur d'une nature intacte au caractère méditerranéen. De nombreuses heures d'ensoleillement et une faible probabilité de précipitations favorisent une végétation qui, autrement, ne se trouve que dans les steppes d'Europe de l'Est.  L'étape entière est variée et très pittoresque. Le long de la lisière forestière, de magnifiques vues s'offrent sur le bassin de Thuringe jusqu'à la forêt de Thuringe. Il convient de noter que, en raison de dommages aux arbres, des déviations locales sont parfois à prévoir. À Burgwenden et Rastenberg, une offre gastronomique est principalement proposée les week-ends.

The Finne hiking trail on the northern edge of the Thuringian Basin runs along a very diverse forest edge zone. Characteristic of the mild south-facing slope are wild herb dry grasslands, orchid meadows, and scattered orchards. The many praying mantises found here are an indicator of intact nature with a Mediterranean character. Many hours of sunshine and the low rainfall tendency result in a vegetation cover usually only found in Eastern European steppe regions.  The entire stage is varied and very scenic. Along the forest edge, there are beautiful views over the Thuringian Basin extending to the Thuringian Forest. It should be noted that due to tree damage, local detours must sometimes be expected. In Burgwenden and Rastenberg, catering services are mainly available on weekends.
