Dass der Hainich-Wald so einzigartig ist, macht ihn auch zum Ort schöner Erinnerungen: an Kindheit, an unbeschwerte Zeit in der Natur und an Märchen. Was liegt also näher als einen Pfad im Nationalpark anzulegen, der diesen Träumen nachhängt? Märchen stammen aus einer Zeit, als der Mensch sich als Teil der Natur fühlte und ihre Kraft achtete. Mög­licherweise hat er auch die Natur in sich – die eigene Kraft – mehr geschätzt, als es die meisten heute tun. Wer in den Wald hineingeht, ist mutig, verzweifelt oder arglos. In jedem Fall wird er sich verwandeln. Er wird als anderer herauskommen, und das ist wunderbar. Lassen wir uns also ein auf das dunkle und helle Unbekannte in der Natur – und in uns!

Peut-être appréciait-il davantage la nature en lui – sa propre force – que la plupart des gens aujourd'hui. Qui entre dans la forêt est courageux, désespéré ou insouciant. En tout cas, il se transformera. Il en sortira changé, et c’est merveilleux. Laissons-nous donc porter par l’inconnu sombre et lumineux de la nature – et en nous !

What could be more natural than to create a path in the national park that follows these dreams? Fairy tales come from a time when humans felt themselves part of nature and respected its power. Maybe they also appreciated nature within themselves – their own power – more than most people do today. Whoever goes into the forest is brave, desperate, or innocent. In any case, they will transform. They will come out different, and that is wonderful. So let us open ourselves to the dark and bright unknown in nature – and within ourselves!
